SonicWall TZ is a great choice if you need easy configuration steps, robust security, and efficient remote support. We haven't had any security breaches. I rate it an eight out of ten.
I rate the overall product a nine out of ten. We looked at the access points, but they were too expensive. I don't doubt that they're good at what they do, but other access points are available for customers. It's quite a hard sell to get those access points. The switches are the same; they are also expensive. So, we tend to use the firewall. We'd recommend them over UniFi. We'd recommend SonicWall if that's an option. But for anyone on a Fortinet or WatchGuard, I might suggest replacing SonicWall TZ only because of the interface. I'm not as familiar with WatchGuard, but I don't have much exposure to Fortinet, though I've heard good things about them. It's probably just what I'm used to with SonicWall. I've also used the NAC devices, which are pretty good. But again, they are very expensive.

The solution has improved our business network security, and I am satisfied with its performance. The firewall performance of SonicWall TZ has met our security needs. I would recommend the solution to other users. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.
If you are looking at it from a financial level, it's a good option. But I think there are other options out there. If I had found this product already in my organization when I joined, I would not have gone with this product. I would have gone with an entry-level FortiGate or Check Point. It would have been much better or easier, but SonicWall TZ is not bad, either. However, my device has almost reached the end of its life after almost one and a half years, and it's easy to switch to a different product at the end of our licensing period, which is towards the end of this year. So that would have been good for me. Overall, I would rate the solution a seven out of ten.
We are a construction consulting company. I would rate the solution nine out of ten. I'd recommend the solution to others. It has a lot of great features. The support is also very reliable. It's a one-stop solution for all requirements related to network security.
The only advice I have for people looking at this solution is to either learn the product or hire someone who knows it very well. Maintenance of this solution is done mainly by the engineer that sets it up. The only time we really need to use it is to check and make sure that we don't have any vulnerabilities. We keep the firmware up to date. Other than that, if the client needs any changes made, we make those changes. Other than that, you can just set it up and forget about it. I would rate this solution an eight, on a scale from one to 10, with one being the worst and 10 being the best.

My advice to others is this is a good solution but sometimes it is not working properly. I would recommend this solution for a home setup and I would recommend FortiGate firewalls for companies. I rate SonicWall TZ a six out of ten.

I've used Fortinet FortiGate briefly. SonicWall TZ is what I'm using at the moment. We are an authorized distributor of SonicWall, so we sell SonicWall products, including SonicWall TZ, to resellers and partners. We deal with the latest versions of this solution: the gen 7 series and the gen 7 NSa series. These are what we've been selling to most of our customers. We have not been able to sell SonicWall TZ on cloud. We have received requests for quotes, particularly for cloud deployment, but what we were able to sell were on-premises deployment, e.g. physical devices. Deployment of this product usually takes less than a day, but it really depends with the setup, with the network. We recently had one that took two days, but it's usually just less than a day. We sell SonicWall TZ to different companies. One company has 10 users. Another company has a hundred users. There's another company with 500 users. We sell to partners, and that's our main job. The partners sell to the customer, so you'll find one partner has five customers, another partner has two customers, etc. We are just not covering Kenya. We cover east Africa all the way up to Congo, Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Eritrea. We cover all those areas. What I usually tell people who are looking into implementing this product is that it's the easiest to use among the many firewalls I've seen. I have not been disappointed with SonicWall TZ, so I'm giving it an eight out of ten, not a perfect score, because there's still room for improvement.
I would rate this solution a seven out of ten. If an organization has about 200 users with slow growth, then SonicWall would be great. But if the growth is exponential and rapid, they may want to consider other solutions or SonicWall NSA.
SonicWall is a good product that I enjoy using, and the security is superior to that of other security companies. It provides excellent protection. I would rate SonicWall TZ a nine out of ten.
I would recommend SonicWall to other companies for their security, for the end customer and for security companies, to use as a UTM appliance. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate SonicWall TZ a nine.

There are a lot of products out there, and I don't have that much experience with any other product. If I have to buy a new product, I would probably review and do a comparison with SonicWall. Overall, I don't have any issues with the product. I like this product. It is very good. I would rate it an eight out of 10.

I would recommend trying the product, it's not too difficult, whether it's the setup or the cost. If you're looking for a really low-cost solution, you'll probably end up using something like pfSense which doesn't really compare to SonicWall. There are probably better solutions out there, but there are things that SonicWall does better, it just depends on your budget. I rate the solution eight out of 10.
We were a small business at the beginning, and we did not think of allowing all of our countries to access the server, but now, we need to give everyone access to the server. We are thinking of moving to a firewall that would be better than this. I would rate SonicWall TZ a 10 out of 10. It is a good product.
We are a customer and an end-user. We are using the TZ300 model at this time. We haven't used the latest version of the solution just yet. I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten.
We use various versions of the solution at any given time. I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten. We've been quite happy with its capabilities. I'd recommend the solution to other users and companies.

If it is used for internal users, it is very good as a firewall. But if it has to be used for VPN, it will be a bit costly and the VPN may be bulky. Using the VPN is not recommended, but as a firewall for blocking threats, it's good. I would rate SonicWall TZ a seven out of ten.
I'm a reseller. I tend to use the latest version of the solution. I go with whatever's happening. I'll upgrade when necessary when they go end of life. Although it is my understanding that they also have a cloud option, I tend to prefer on-premises deployments. If I need something, I will call my SonicWall rep. I'd recommend new users try them. They have very good service and they're easy to use. I'd rate them ten out of ten simply for the fact that I really haven't had any issues with them at all.

We think SonicWall is a good product. Sometimes the technicians don't have the expertise to deploy and there can be issues with appliances that are not sized correctly and the appliances get overloaded and it slows down the network. It's not because of the solution, it's the lack of experience. I would rate this solution a six out of 10.

We have been using this product for around ten years, and we are very comfortable with this product. I would recommend this product based on your requirements. I would rate SonicWall TZ a nine out of ten.
We use this solution ourselves, however, we also deploy it for our clients. We're resellers. We're using the latest version of the solution. I don't know if I have specific advice, as each customer is different and has different needs in terms of security. It depends on their policies and how they want to implement them. There are almost endless amounts of policies that can be added to the solution. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.
We're a Silver Partner. I'm not an engineer. I was a field engineer for nine years a long, long time ago. However, I'm not typically the one that gets my fingers into stuff, and it would be my engineering and senior engineering staff that do that. That said, I can say that I don't think any of our guys have touched the virtual platform yet. We use TZ and traditional NSA tech every day. That's our bread and butter. The current version we're using right now is the 600 series, although we do still have some 350 series. 90% of what we use are Gen 6. They're either TZ 300, 400, 500, 600 or NSA 2600, 3600, 4600. We've got a smattering of 2650s that we've rolled out, which have been really, really good. Those are powerful units. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten. It doesn't warrant more than that. There's plenty of products I'd give a five to out there, however, for the quality of the product offering, I think an eight is a fair mark.
This is a product that we recommend, and also suggest that people upgrade their old devices to this model. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

SonicWall TZ firewalls are very easy to use. It's a next-generation firewall. Compare products in terms of the features. With SonicWall TZ, we get more value for the money. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate this solution an eight. The analysis meter and other important features are still missing.
If the client is using SonicWall, we use SonicWall as well, for reliability. If they're using Fortinet, we try to use the same thing and try to minimize the cost, that's how we work. In terms of advice, I would say that you have to look at the entire solution. There are certain things which SonicWall cannot do. SonicWall doesn't support ADSL because of security reasons but sometimes you need it, you want a little bit, you need to have that option to be working. Unfortunately, that option is not there, but sometimes you need it. Therefore, you have to evaluate the requirement. Also, sometimes the quality is not so good. We have trouble sometimes with SonicWall. Unfortunately, sometimes the normal way of getting into the remote connectivity doesn't work because it's on a data correction. Or we only need to get into another specific connection. SonicWall doesn't support this connection. If we can't access the VPN we can't establish a check with the VPN. There was an incident like that and we had to take another break and then finish the product. You have to evaluate all this and then implement it. It's not possible to just not do something because SonicWall cannot. If it's for security you have to do it, there is no other option. I would rate this solution between a six and seven out of ten. More work can be done on the servers, and the VPN areas also. It's a little bit confusing on the route side. I think the routes need to be cleaner, better.
We use a variety of models, from the TZ300, up to the NSA 2600. For businesses, I recommend TZ400. I would rate the solution 8 out of 10. I would rate WatchGuard itself 10, because I really like that product, and the ease of use. And when I say ease of use, I mean I know that product in and out. And it's very easy to set up external sites with the system management tool that comes free with WatchGuard.

Currently, SonicWall is our primary solution. To me, it can no longer be the primary because if I need support then I may not get it. With other products, it is quite simple. For any new projects that I'll be working on, I will not be using SonicWall. This is simply a business decision that is based on my experience. I am responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and moving forward with the customer. If I am not happy then I cannot implement the solution because it will not help me in the future. To be honest, when it comes to integration I would rate this product a nine out of ten. But, because of the lack of support, overall, I can only rate it one out of ten.
Important criteria, when selecting a vendor, are that the product has * to be one that my small clients can afford * the capability of doing what needs to be done * good quality and good technical support
I would say the most important criterion, when selecting a vendor, is probably the technology utilized. The one we've got now is five years old. The next generation with the cloud-based signature and operation... I know SonicWall has what they call Capture, which is advanced threat protection type stuff. I think that is probably what we're going to be looking at next. There are certainly a lot of options out there, and there are a lot of good options. I would say, stick with a name brand, whether it's SonicWall, or Check Point, or Palo Alto, or Cisco - any of those. You need to stick with a big name brand that is at the forefront of things.
The secure, sophisticated SonicWALL TZ is widely deployed at small businesses, retail, government, remote sites and branch offices. It combines high-performance intrusion prevention, malware blocking, content/URL filtering and application control.
It's recommended that their logging feature be improved by adding an in-built hard disk to store logs. I'd rate the solution ten out of ten.
We set up new environments and implemented firewall solutions in our organization. Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
I recommend SonicWall TZ an eight out of ten. If you are using multimedia applications with large-sized files, you should go for it.

I give the solution an eight out of ten. The maintenance is not difficult. I take care of the maintenance myself. I recommend the solution to others.
I rate the solution a nine out of ten. The solution is good, but its reporting can be improved.
I rate SonicWall TZ eight out of 10. We use it often. It's an excellent product that I would recommend.

SonicWall TZ think it's a good, solid, and stable product. Currently, its price is going up, but the prices are going up on everything.
We're end-users. I'm not working on the latest version of the solution. I missed one or two updates. I would rate the solution nine out of ten. I'd recommend the solution to others.

My advice to others who are implementing this solution is to take advantage of their technical support. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
