Even after Broadcom's acquisition, VMware vSphere Foundation remains a ten out of ten in terms of product quality. The handling of support has changed, and Broadcom appears more interested in profitability than in customer satisfaction.
Based on my experience, I would wholeheartedly recommend VMware vSphere Foundation to others as it is my number one choice. I'd rate the solution seven out of ten.
I would rate it a six out of ten. If the pricing and procurement process are addressed, it could be a good product. Those are the main concerns. There’s competition like Microsoft Hyper-V, which is cheaper than VMware.
