Hello peers,
I am a Sr. Cybersecurity Solutions Architect at a medium-sized computer software company.
What are the main evaluation criteria for you when choosing the right vendor for brand protection services? What are you usually expecting it to do?
Thank you for your help.
Hi, I think the other answers are a little off. Sure, Take-down bundles for fake internet Sites are a thing to look at, although the initial Brand Protection starts with well-managed DNS and DNS Authentication methods like DKIM and DMARC. That goes even further with BIMI for instance. Having a good DMARC analyzer will actually show you if someone is using your domain or brand to contact the other 3 Parties. Having said all that, BEP (Brand Exploitation and Protection) does not come cheap, so be careful of what you use and implement.
Hi, I'll summarize it with these 3 questions.
1- operating system (they are windows or Android)
2- you have 365 services
3- you have Active Directory (server 2016 or later)
If all 3 answer yes, I suggest Defender for Endpoint and Intune for MDM
Because
1- compatibility
with office 365 with Windows, the client is installed (antivirus)
2- integration in the administration with 365
3-Scalability example with Azure services.
It is my opinion from experience.
Sometimes you need to look for tools based on your business and compliance requirements.
Otherwise, you will end up having too many tools for the same things, which doesn't make any sense.
Evaluate the business and identify the requirements.
Gather the dependency and check the skills of your resources to manage.
Hi Ehab,
I'm Karim Sabry from Giza Systems. It all boils down to how many channels can be monitored and where are they authorized to initiate a takedown and the time to take down (SLA). Channels can be Fake Internet Domains, Social Media various channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc..), Dark Web chatter around brand and IP mentions, attack plans, and adversary motivations.
