Hello dear professionals,
I work as the Practice Head (Automation) at a Computer SW company (size: 10,000+ employees).
Can you please recommend to me your "to-go" tools (open-source and/or licensed ones) for Accessibility testing? This request is to address the requirements of my customers.
Thanks for your help.
For accessibility testing, we have used open-source tools like Lighthouse, axe with automated tests and Accessibility Insights for WCAG AA compliance.
Wave, SortSite and PowerMapper.
@MukundWangikar thank you for your answer. Can you please specify what you like (e.g., specific features) about those tools?
I recommend using the license tools: UFT or Katalon. If you have an open-source framework, Selenium can be used.
But it all depends on your infrastructure, strategy and budget. In this sense, I recommend doing assessments before to understand these 3 important points and to make the best choice. Because it is important to consider the scalability of your system and infrastructure to select the best option. So, in the future, the tool won't become obsolete (or out of the strategy or technology of your legacy systems).
@Héctor Ruvalcaba Just checking - are UFT, Katalon and Selenium web accessibility testing tools? I know they are test automation tools. Katalon is sometimes combined with Axe for Web Accessibility testing. It does not do Web Accessibility testing itself. Or am I incorrect here? Please advise.
UsableNet has a product (AQA) that we and our clients use.
