Hello community,
We are a large manufacturing company based in India and we are looking for an Enterprise Architecture tool.
Are there any suppliers of the EA tool - BiZZdesign Enterprise Studio in India? If not, what tool would you suggest that we use?
Thank you for your help.
There is a number of good tools mentioned already. I'd add LeanIX (leanix.com) to the list. We have been using it for 3 years and it provides plenty of value: It's simple, but you can sophisticate it with open configurations, has good out-of-box taxonomies, reports, useful integrations, and supplement tools, you can start small and grow without a huge investment upfront - a simple licensing model, constantly updating and improving, the leader in Gartner quadrant, and great (really good) customer care and support - dynamic tool really worth to have a look in your search. Pricewise and overall they provide more value than other leading EA tools, IMHO of course.
Hi Rachana,
I am not sure this response will help you or not, but I am just sharing my experience here.
We are also in the process of evaluating different EA tools for our enterprise. We are inclined more towards SAP PowerDesigner so far.
Apparently, it seems that it's a capable tool and because of the fact that we are already running S4 HANA as our ERP, it might have better compatibility.
But I agree with Allan that you must consider your budgetary constraints.
In case, you need to know about PowerDesigner capabilities, I can share whatever I have gathered so far.
Cheers
Rachana,
There are (as you surely know) dozens of tools.
So first, what is your yearly budget for tools and training/consulting services? Millions, $100,000, $1000?
Second, what is your in-house expertise (i.e. how familiar are you with ArchiMate, UML, and BPMN)?
Third, what is your corporate culture (we want something ready to hit the road and don't mind paying or we like to invest in our own people becoming versant with a tool)?
If it's grandiose with millions to spend try MEGA. If it's hundreds of thousands try BiZZdesign, if it's a few thousand try Sparx EA.
I use Sparx EA and have been for a LONG time. It does everything the more expensive tools do but instead of paying $200 an hour for consultants to do it for you, you have to get familiar with the tool and learn how to do things.
Or you could buy an expensive tool without consulting but you will end up giving up out of frustration.
Best bang for your buck, buy Sparx EA and invest the time of your people. Here's a link comparing some of the big-name tools.

Hello Rachana - It really depends on your EA maturity across the organization and what you are trying to achieve from an EA tool. BiZZdesign (Enterprise Studio and HoriZZon) is definitely a great choice. We have been using this tool for the last couple of years. They also have a SaaS offering and they do support organizations in India. BiZZdesign product support is also very good.
Hi,
It all depends on what your objectives are, what your maturity level is and how well you master the underlying modeling languages like ArchiMate, UML, etc. Bizzdesign Enterprise Studio is certainly a very good tool.
Try ARIS.
I would suggest using MEGA HOPEX as an EA tool which is recognized as a leader in EA. Check it out https://www.mega.com/enterpris...
