The primary use case for OpenShift at my company is for running applications on the platform. Our developers deploy containerized applications on it but beyond that, we have offices in multiple locations across the globe. This solution helps us to manage the infrastructure of clusters all over the world and run thousands of apps on it. It has been especially useful for increasing the flexibility of cloud-native stacks and helping us meet regulatory constraints. We deploy it on-premise and in the cloud and take advantage of other Red Hat products alongside it, too. Overall, all products by this company have saved us from having to outsource to third-party vendors because they are very effective in their roles.
We use OpenShift to increase the resilience of our stateless applications. This solution has many storage solutions for stateful as well as stateless applications and we utilize this the most in our work. We realized that we do not want applications to be dependent on platform-related cases. And OpenShift is the solution we found for this as it makes our apps more robust and enhances their performance and efficiency. Additionally, this software provides higher availability and connects with various popular systems, so it is very flexible. I should mention my favorite part of this product is the interface – as without the ease of use; the other features would not work nearly as well.
OpenShift is Red Hat's Kubernetes platform that provides a cloud environment for development, hosting, and scaling applications. The solution enables a cloud-like experience regardless of the location where it has been deployed, including in the cloud, on premises, or at the edge. It allows developers to select where to build, deploy, and run applications through a consistent experience, supported by full-stack automated operations, and self-service provisioning.
