When I compared various corporate portal tools and solutions, I found Microsoft’s Sharepoint platform and Atlassian Confluence to be the most effective ones currently available on the market.
One of the things that I initially noticed about Microsoft’s Sharepoint platform was its advanced and robust security capability. Microsoft Sharepoint employs many different features and tools to protect corporate data safe from external threats. One of these features is its centralized management capability. This enables us to keep a close eye on and make use of all of the data that flows through our system. The centralized management feature makes it easy for us to deploy and administer Sharepoint’s various security features. Furthermore, this centralization means that fewer resources need to be devoted to the management of Sharepoint’s security capabilities. A small team is all we need to keep our portal safe from threats.
The Microsoft Sharepoint platform protects our data both when it is in transit between ourselves and our clients and when it moves between our data centers. Sharepoint will not authenticate connections for a website using an HTTP protocol. It only authenticates connections when the place that it is sending the data is running a secure HTTPS protocol. Additionally, Microsoft Sharepoint encrypts our data using 2048-bit keys for internet exchanges and best-in-class encryption when we move it between data centers. These encryption methods keep bad actors from reading and understanding our data even if they should penetrate our network.
Microsoft Sharepoint also has features that protect our data when it is sitting in our system. One measure that it takes is requiring users who want to access our data centers to have their identities successfully verified via multiple factors of authentication. The data centers themselves are protected from intrusion. Sharepoint allows us to set scan parameters so that specific types of documents are automatically checked for malware. We gain the ability to customize our portal’s protection.
A major benefit that Microsoft Sharepoint offers us is the way that it enables us to customize every aspect of our Microsoft Sharepoint experience. We are able to maintain the out-of-the-box format of Sharepoint if that is what best serves our needs. However, if we need a more customized experience than what Sharepoint offers us straight out of the box, then we can customize it accordingly. Sharepoint makes it possible for us to customize every feature in its suite of tools. Furthermore, we can shape its interface so that it conforms to our business needs.
One of the features of Atlassian Confluence that I appreciate is its high level of flexibility. We have the ability to customize Atlassian Confluence so that it contains the features that are most beneficial for us. If there is a feature that we need but don’t have access to, Atlassian Confluence’s marketplace can help us solve that problem. There are hundreds of integrations and extensions that we can deploy. These let us employ a wide variety of features that we might not otherwise be able to access. These integrations make it so that I always have the features that I need. Should it prove necessary, I can add to the resources without worrying that an important function is absent.
This solution enables me to employ automated security protocols. I can create automated protocols to manage user access. These protocols allow my team to focus our attention elsewhere while the automation manages security for all of our portal users.
Ultimately, either of these two solutions will empower you to take control of every aspect of the creation, maintenance, and use of your corporate portal.

What are company portals and what is their purpose? Corporations are, in many ways, worlds unto themselves. They are complex organisms consisting of many independent parts that need to run smoothly at the same time in order for the whole to function effectively. There are many things that need to take place in order for all the sections of a corporation to properly work in tandem. Corporate portals, also known as enterprise information portals, mainly aim to enable the various departments of...

Hi Netanya,
Could you please elaborate more on your requirements? The question you posted is very generic.
Did you mean to ask which is the best tool, technology OR platform for building a Corporate Portal?
My next question is: what features of a Corporate Portal are you looking to see in implementation?
Do you have any existing Corporate Portal implemented?
Are you looking to implement a Corporate Portal for the 1st time?
Thanks,
Ram
