Hello, my company's been using the Liferay Digital Experience Platform for a while now and we're very happy with the results. I checked their website and they say that they serve different industries including yours, as well as manufacturing, healthcare, government, finance and insurance, and energy and utilities. If you're just putting up your businesses online, you can use them through different subscriptions, including for:
digital experience platform
commerce
DXP cloud as well as an analytics cloud.
We keep using Liferay for so long because it's a secure platform with a nice user interface so it may be good for beginners too.
Search for a product comparison in Digital Experience Platforms (DXP)
You may want to first look into what exactly you want to provide to your customers through a DXP. Two different businesses would mean two different types of clients served, and so two different digital experience platforms. I agree with the previous answer, Liferay is good for different purposes. But I'd also recommend some alternatives like Kentico which has a superb content management system. If you want to get some more into marketing, Kentico also gives you a great marketing suite and I personally have used it before and liked it very much. There's also HCL Digital Experience which is btw one of the biggest competitors of Liferay and I haven't used it but heard that it's just as good. That's all according to personal needs, of course, but you've definitely got a choice.
What is digital experience? Digital experience is the interaction between a user - whether it is a customer, partner, or employee - and an organization, made possible by digital technologies.
