The pricing model for Automic has changed from a host-based licensing model to one based on successful execution. I still prefer the earlier licensing model, but I understand that it was likely changed for business reasons.

They have increased the license price a little bit. It is more than what we expected about two years ago. So, there could be some surprises when it comes to pricing.
The solution was flexible in terms of pricing. We're moving away from it, not due to price, but rather based on our requirements. They did provide us with an unlimited license that matched our budget.

Our company had licenses for five users at that moment in time when it was pretty okay. Our company had paid around 5,000 to 6,000 USD per license for a month.

This is quite expensive. It's one of the most expensive on the market. That said, I can't speak much about the exact pricing. I would rate it six out of ten in terms of affordability.

Our license is for three years, or something like that. My advice to anyone considering Automic is to know how they will use it, because they changed the license type. Previously, we used to pay for each computer. Now we pay for all the environment, no matter how much we use. We change the license for the processors, but it depends on the environment that you want to automate, so I cannot give any advice. It depends on what you want. If you only have a few computers that you want to use, you can use it by computer, by your agents. If you have a lot of processors, don't pay for the processors. It depends on the type of environment you use it in. Sometimes you prefer to do it with the scheduling if you have a lot of workflows.

This is a support system for us, not our core business, so we purchased this product inexpensively. Later on, we came to a very good deal, but it took us three years to finalize. We recently purchased the whole suite.

My boss says, "It is a little expensive." For example, I must pay a lot money if I need to have a DB agent. This is too expensive for us as a small company, so I use SQL *Plus. This costs us nothing. We cannot use all the functions because they are too expensive.

Certain licenses can be a bit expensive. The PeopleSoft agents, in particular, are a bit pricey. We are using agent groups in our development environment which allows us to switch between the different Peoplesoft instances without having to change the host names in the jobs and without the need for multiple PS licenses.

The cost of arrays is high. If you want to buy an array for an application, and see value from it, you need about half a million dollars. That is too expensive.
We feel that we get a good deal with the price. We recently renewed our Automic contract last year. At renewal time, it is not about looking for an alternative product, because we can't find one. Also, Automatic is heavily integrated in our organization. The cost to change would be a huge factor for us, and we have not found any other product that is better out there.

Pricing is above my pay grade, however, the team lead mentioned that we have a good deal compared to other solutions out there.
The solution seems expensive to me, but it does the job well.

The solution is costly. However, we do get so many features, it's worth the cost.

The license for Automic is around $7,000 per year, which is somewhat costly, but it includes enterprise support.
This solution is pretty well-priced. I would rate its pricing as four out of five.
Its price is way up there with BMC. It is a little bit on the expensive side.

There are different licensing fees for cases where high availability is important. There is also a certain complexity in this type of installation.
There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees.
It costs too much. That's why we are now looking at other products.
I understand that AWA is cheaper than Control-M, but I'm not certain about the numbers.
