FICO Blaze Advisor has two licensing models in addition to a free trial. One model is yearly maintenance, with regular costs and yearly payments. The other is related to payments for Blaze Advisor IDE, and depends on the number of users. Compared to other tools, I feel its pricing is expensive.
From my experience however, the product is worth the cost and here are the reasons why.
As a decision management tool, it provides consistent business logic across user platforms.
The solution gives business users excellent control via its rule maintenance application, allowing them to independently modify rules as necessary without involving a person with technical expertise.
In addition to rule maintenance, FICO Blaze Advisor empowers business users with multiple methods for rule authoring, testing, deployment, and management.
Its centralized repository is extremely helpful, with business logic maintained in a single place.
The solution also supports monitoring of business performance captured through user-defined events, providing the building blocks for strategy orchestration and champion/challenger scenarios.
It has powerful impact and decision analysis capabilities that provide multiple pathways to developing and managing the strategies that will make you successful.
The data analysis and decision tree analysis features are valuable and make business decisions easier.
The solution allows for customization, so you can create your own data items and variables to suit your specific needs.
The product has flexible hosting options and no-code development, making it extremely user-friendly.
Besides being easy to use, the solution offers training via webinar, documentation, live online, and in-person sessions.
To sum up, FICO Blaze Advisor is an all-in-one decision support software that won’t disappoint.

The cost depends on the size of the business. As a starting price, it is around $40,000 for a perpetual license. Most of our clients prefer to buy perpetual licenses. Compared to IBM ODM which costs double the amount for a perpetual license the price is reasonable. I give the cost a six out of ten for FICO Blaze Advisor.

I'm unaware of licensing fees but I believe it's a solution that's worth what it costs. It's very beneficial for us.
The price could be reduced to increase profit margins and the number of clients.
