Fortinet FortiSandbox is a nominally priced product, so I would not say that it is a very cheap tool. It is one of the best solutions in the market with a competitive pricing model, similar to the prices offered by products from Cisco.
FortiSandbox is a subscription that can be purchased from Fortinet directly. Only using FortiSandbox as features purchased as a subscription in the cloud. We purchased the bundle. So, we got one price for the package. It was a unified package.
Though I don't know the exact numbers related to pricing, the solution is priced adequately or fairly. I rate the product's pricing a five or six on a scale of one to ten, where one is low, and ten is high. Though the solution comes with embedded licenses, there is always a problem for all the vendors when it comes to the virtual machines from Windows. Since Fortinet provides for the additional licenses, there is no need to buy any additional licenses.

The solution is a rather sizable investment. That said, for those organizations with sensitive data, that feed to know they are protected, it's likely worth the price tag.

Most of our clients will opt for us to manage the setup for them because the security is fairly new. Most of our customers feel it is better to outsource the management of security services for their hardware so they can focus on the business. We have our own team of security experts that are fully trained in Fortinet. It's easier for them to carry out the setup for the customers. The relationship between the customer and our company is by SNA (social network analysis), so there are fewer configuration errors and instances where the configuration hasn't been carried out correctly and the product is still not working well for the customer, so most companies prefer us to do it for them.

The pricing is okay, but the licensing can be confusing. For example, if you purchase FortiSandbox, there are three different types of licensing. They have a separate FortiSandbox for the cloud, and for FortiGate. It can be quite confusing. For being an existing FortiGate customer, they started by giving me one year for free, then I started renewing.
Fortinet FortiSandbox is a behavior-based threat detection solution that prevents and detects malicious code in files transferred within the organization. It is integrated with FortiGate firewalls and FortiMail for threat protection and can be used for monitoring and reporting. The solution inspects files in a virtual environment with different types of virtual machines and can block or quarantine files based on their score.
The most valuable features include dynamic behavior analysis,...
I think it's affordable. For the six to seven months of usage, the cost has been reasonable.
I am not familiar with the pricing because my role is strictly technical.

It is an expensive solution.

It's not very expensive. I would rate it around a five or six, somewhere in the middle.
My opinion is that this solution has a high price point.

Fortinet is more reasonable than Palo Alto.
We are on an annual license to use the solution. We have an additional feature that is integrated with S5, which is working well.

Altogether, it is about €10,000 for the Sandbox and Email Gateway.

There are additional costs that aren't included in the licensing fee.
The pricing on the solution is okay; it's not too expensive.
