Imperva is too expensive for small and medium-sized enterprises. They're missing out on technology that helps them manage their data security better. Data security is essential because even the strongest network may be attacked from the inside without it. Databases host most of the structured data for organizations. Other unstructured data may be at risk, but it's not the same risk as a database. PII needs to be structured on your database, but most SMEs cannot afford the cost. You pay for a perpetual license plus maintenance and support.
The price of the solution is reasonable. The cost of the solution depends on the customer, they have the flex protect licensing which can vary in price.
Imperva SecureSphere Database Security was quite expensive several years ago, but now they provide a subscription plan for licensing. It is available now for smaller and medium-sized companies, not only large enterprises. There are many licensing options available, such as monthly and annually. Additionally, The hardware can be available on a perpetual license. There are not any additional costs other than deployment fees if you use a partner or integrator.
Its pricing could be cheaper for the African countries or developing economies. The British pound is valued way more than the currency of most African countries. A better or cheaper pricing model for Nigerian and African customers would be better. It has a per-year subscription model. You pay exactly for what you need. That's all. You don't have to buy what you don't need.

It is quite expensive. We wanted it in my former organization, but the price was very high. So, we couldn't purchase it. I moved to a different organization, and this organization has purchased it.

Customers are very, very satisfied with the licensing costs and there's not really anyone that competes with Imperva so the clients are very happy. Their requirements are covered.

Initially, SecureSphere was expensive but they have incentives on their packages now. They have introduced new price models, which makes the product more affordable now. It is now at a pricing level in the range where most people are looking for this type of solution.

The solution is pretty pricey. It's not the least expensive option. An organization will have to ensure they have the budget to cover the cost or having the product. I'd say that the amount of money they charge is unreasonable sometimes. If I were to rate them out of ten on pricing, I would give them a one.
Licenses are yearly. We normally try to negotiate a perpetual license but separate annual support and maintenance. The pricing over-all depends on the entry level. For example, if support and maintenance are about $20,000 - $25,000, the initial cost can be five times more. It is less expensive for the company to maintain the client than to make the deployment. There are some additional costs for add-ons and scaling.

I don't know the exact prices because that is a function of accounting, but I know service is contracted on a yearly basis. We purchased the minimal license for Imperva initially even though we have a lot of databases, but the license covered our needs. The company has recommended increasing the licensing. There are additional costs depending on the features. For example, if we want to prevent something on the DV level we can't because we didn't purchase that license. If we want it, we can add it. Our main goal right now is to enhance the license for the TPS license (transaction process system). It is easy to enhance functionality by adding other features licenses.
Imperva SecureSphere Database Security:
Audits all access to sensitive data.
Alerts or blocks database attacks and unauthorized activities, in real time.
Detects and virtually patches database vulnerabilities.
Identifies excessive user rights and dormant users, and enables a complete rights review cycle.
Accelerates incident response and forensics investigations with advanced analytics.
It is not cheaper, but based on the feature, it is okay.
The pricing is reasonable and competitive. It is affordable for most enterprises, although costs can vary depending on the modules. There are additional costs for support services.

The price of the solution is reasonable and it requires a license.
This is an expensive solution and the price should be reduced.
It is very expensive.
The price is very high but compared to the price of the overall solution, then I think it's a good deal because the solution itself is great.

This is an affordable solution. There is an annual licensing fee for upgrading the device.

The cost of support for this solution is very expensive. There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees.
