The pricing of Kaspersky is good, and I rate it an eight out of ten. Our current licensing costs are one hundred dollars per user for three hundred users, which was established three years ago.
The solution is available at a highly affordable price. Competitor solutions, such as Cisco's, are more expensive than Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business. The licensing cost of the solution varies from company to company, government organizations can procure the solution at a lower price in comparison to other private institutions such as banks. Approximately, the license of the product for 100 endpoints will cost $35 for government institutions and $25 for private companies. The standard or basic license of the tool costs about $15 a year. For installation and technical support there are additional charges on top of the standard licensing fees for the product.

I don't remember exactly what the licenses cost, but it's not too expensive. It's affordable, especially when you are dealing with on-prem. However, I don't know about the new prices because we are in the process of buying support. We've owned the license for a long time, and we are now bringing in the support, so we are not paying much for this. Kaspersky and most other security products have a lot of modules. They recently added several new ones. You find yourself buying and deploying so many things. There are some modules that everyone uses, like, for example, the orchestration module. Instead of selling them separately, it would be better to have bundles or an all-in-one license. That would save the customers from having to do lots of implementations. As far as I know, they do not have a bundled license.
It's costly and heavy. Price-wise, it's expensive. In order to use the EDR, you must have a very strong server as well. So that's where you have to add the cost for the server machines, and that's where you implement the EDR as well. While the EDR itself is probably not that expensive, altogether, with the servers needed, it becomes a costly solution. Users need to pay a yearly licensing fee.

We have a yearly license with Kaspersky currently. It has already gotten renewed after its first expiry. We will renew it. When we renew it, we tend to make sure it's also as up-to-date as possible.
This solution is priced lower than some of its competitors. Kaspersky has introduced new products and upgraded versions of Endpoint Security. It is a bit complicated these days, especially their licensing. They are promoting customers to purchase the EDR, Endpoint Detection and Response, rather than going for the Endpoint Security only. The EDR requirement for deployment is a little higher, especially for mid-size or small-size companies. The server they require for the EDR or sandboxing is pretty heavy and costly. If they can reduce the price, then it would have been a good cloud solution. The support from Kaspersky is purchased separately.
At the time, when we purchased the solution, the company was giving us the best deal on the market. It's the reason why we ended up choosing it. I don't recall the licensing aspects or if we had to pay for it, and if so, how much.
As an end-user, I am not aware of the costs of the licensing policies. I'm not on the commercial negotiation side of the licenses. There is someone else in the company that handles those details.
