PRTG Network Monitor used to be reasonably priced, but after changing to subscription models, the costs have increased. The solution remains user-friendly, which usually convinces customers despite the higher pricing.

PRTG Network Monitor is very expensive. We pay around $100,000 per year for each installation. We have four installations, so our cost is $400,000 per year.

Pricing for PRTG Network Monitor is a nine out of ten. It meets my company's budget and monitoring requirements. My company is on a perpetual license, particularly a basic license that doesn't require purchasing an additional license. Regarding PRTG Network Monitor support, my company pays for it annually compared to other vendors, and the support cost is lower. You need to renew support annually for the tool. My company has an annual maintenance contract with PRTG.

PRTG is relatively intuitive and fairly straightforward. It has net flow monitoring and that works all right. I would describe it as a decent middle-of-the-road solution. It costs about $500 a year, so if you're looking just to watch basic traffic and keep an eye on devices, it works fine.
I can't really speak to the licensing model. When we first signed up, there was some negotiation around pricing. Our purchasing department took care of that.

PRTG Network Monitor is not that expensive, so I like it cost-wise. There's no additional cost apart from the standard licensing fees. On a scale of one to five, with one being the cheapest and five being the most expensive, I would rate the cost of PRTG Network Monitor a two.

PRTG Network Monitor is a very affordable solution compared to other solutions. Other solutions cost nearly double or triple the cost. Not only is the pricing reasonable, but the quality is also. The licensing cost depends on the number of interfaces. The details for the enterprise are published on their website, and because we partner with them, we receive a 15% discount. They do not customize their products for specific customers. Other solutions like SolarWinds and Cisco do not provide product customization support, but PRTG Network Monitor includes documentation for customization to the particular interface. For example, we wanted to monitor 300 SNMP nationwide and try to integrate them into the online UPS. It was very tough because no MIB value was published on their website. We had to request it, and they generated the script and made the MIB value, allowing us to initiate.

We have unlimited devices and sensors, and it is a bit pricey, but we do have unlimited sensors. With all things considered the price is fine, related to the solution itself. PRTG Network Monitor is good value for money. I rate the price of PRTG Network Monitor a four out of five. A price decrease would be welcomed by the financial and accounts departments.

The price of PRTG Network Monitor is reasonable for the features that the solution provides. They charge you per monitoring, not per node, it is per port that you need for a device. If they could have pricing per device that would be a benefit.

We are using the premium version of PRTG Network Monitor. The price of the solution is a bit higher than competitors but it is worth the extra money. However, it would be helpful if the price was lower.

The price of PRTG is reasonable. PRTG's competitors like SolarWinds and ManageEngine charge more for the same functionality. They are much more expensive at licensing level. What's more, PRTG comes as one bundle. For example, the database is part of the PRTG release, so Paessler takes total responsibility for all components they deliver. With other products, you need a separate database engine and databases, and these NMS companies don't take responsibility. When they put out new releases, what if it doesn't work with the previous release of a database? Things become a little tricky. You have to deal with two or more entities for NMS but only one with PRTG.

The price is actually on the cheaper side. If you're going with the unlimited license code, it's very cheap compared to competitors unless you're going for something free, like Zabbix. But you get what you pay for, and it doesn't have the full suite of products or tools like SolarWinds or a ScienceLogic.

I'm not an expert on pricing, however, I would describe the pricing as pretty cheap. It's not overly expensive. I'm paying something like €1000 per year for the maintenance. I've got unlimited sensors.
We are using the basic PRTG that we can download for free. For now, we only need to monitor less than 100 devices. For more than 100 devices, we would need to buy a license. PRTG is much cheaper than SolarWinds.
To have the additional features costs a lot. It's too much. If it was half the price, we would purchase more. All monitoring systems are close to the same pricing scheme.

The historical data does not help us optimize our network performance, as we are not really using it to that level. We could, but because we are only on the free version, we have a limited number of sensors. Therefore, we are not monitoring as much as we want to be to obtain historical information.
Give the soluton serious consideration. If you are not too sure about it, try the free version. Then, if you like it, you can go to the paid version and roll it out.

Right now, the smallest sensor pack that they have is just a bit out of range for me, as a business. This kills me, as I need the product. Therefore, there is always a balance between needing to buy it or continuing their free version. I would like better pricing models for smaller businesses. The free version is fantastic, but it's too restrictive. If they could just get up to 200 sensors for a reasonable fee for on-premise, I would give PRTG my credit card right now.
One thing I like is that when you buy sensors, it's a perpetual license, so once you buy 2,000 sensors, you've got 2,000 sensors; it's not a recurring cost. With some products, it's a subscription model where you pay every year.

In my company now, we are using the free version. In previous companies, we have had unlimited licenses and going beyond 10,000 sensors with 50 different branch offices.
Cost was a factor when selecting this solution, but it just did everything we wanted it to do. The key thing was having it agentless, so we didn't have to maintain the local nodes. Our licensing costs are 10,000 euros over three years. We've a three year contract with that, then we will just maintain it on a yearly basis.

It is about £4,500 for the first year, then about another 15 to 20 percent annually after that. So, we are looking at about £1000 running costs a year. When you think about how much an outage costs per minute, it's negligible.

When you buy PRTG, everything comes in one bundle. Licensing is very easy. It is not like SolarWinds or Ops Manager, where I can buy pieces separately if I want high availability or Syslog. It becomes painful. The basic version looks cheap, but NetFlow has to be bought separately on SolarWinds. In PRTG, there are no questions asked, and everything comes together. SolarWinds is a bit complex, so the customer may have to buy the product license and have to pay a little extra for training and deployment of the license. In the case of PRTG, the product is so easy that we give the customer three online sessions, and they are happy since we don't charge them for that.
PRTG Network Monitor runs on a Windows machine within your network, collecting various statistics from the machines, software, and devices which you designate. PRTG comes with an easy-to-use web interface with point-and-click configuration. You can easily share data from it with non-technical colleagues and customers, including via live graphs and custom reports. This will let you plan for network expansion, see what applications are using most of your connection, and make sure that no one is...
PRTG comes in different bands: there are options with 500, 1500, 2500, and so on. Pricing is by the number of devices, not by sensor.
The pricing is harshly increased, from $4,000 last year to $99,000 now, with no additional features added. This is unbearable.
PRTG Network Monitor used to be reasonably priced, but after changing to subscription models, the costs have increased. The solution remains user-friendly, which usually convinces customers despite the higher pricing.
PRTG Network Monitor is cheap.
I rate the price of PRTG Network Monitor an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is a high price, and ten is a low price.
The solution is expensive compared to FortiMonitor. PRTG is costly for small scale, but for large scale, FortiMonitor is more expensive.
It's a cost-efficient tool.
The licenses are paid on a monthly basis. My opinion is that this solution is not very expensive.
Pricing is comparable. I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten.

We pay for PRTG Network Monitor annually. The price is approximately 10,000 rupees annually.
PRTG Network Monitor's price is a little high. Their licenses cost between $1,600 to $16,000 on a perpetual basis.

It's expensive to maintain. There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees.
The licensing fees are billed annually and there are no costs in addition to this.
When you have a lot of devices, PRTG Network Monitor can be costly.
Adding extra sensors will incur an additional cost.
The price of PRTG Network Monitor is reasonable.
Our price involves less than 5,000 tiers. We are satisfied with the price.

After the initial acquisition cost, the license is about four grand a year.
The pricing for PRTG in our case is reasonable because we have a lot of applications to monitor within PRTG. It is not that expensive.
The pricing is reasonable so far. It's proven to be a good investment for our company.
I'm not an expert on pricing, however, I would describe the pricing as pretty cheap. It's not overly expensive. I'm paying something like €1000 per year for the maintenance. I've got unlimited sensors.

The pricing of the solution is fair and in line with the rest of the market. It's not too high.
I don't deal with the licensing or billing aspect of the solution and therefore can't speak to the exact costs of the product.
It's an annual license that is based on the number of endpoints that we're tracking and using.
It is expensive.
PRTG is now available as PRTG Enterprise Monitor, and the price of it varies depending on the total number of sensors the customer buys.
We have an unlimited perpetual license, so we just pay support costs and it can scale throughout the organization.
The pricing is not too bad. It's not massively expensive, and the ability to upscale or even downscale licenses every year is brilliant for us.
At the moment I'm only using 500 sensors. I pay yearly, so it's a cost that's easily swallowed.
On a yearly basis, I believe it's between £1,200 and £1,500. It's relatively inexpensive, for what we need.
We've got 1,000 nodes and I believe it's a few hundred quid a month.
