When you evaluate any solution many factors play an important role in the pricing. The same applies here. If you are looking for a backup infrastructure that can serve you in the cloud era that contains all the elements of backup solution, then costing of Rubrik is very reasonable. But if you looking for just a backup software then Rubrik is not the best fit for you.

Rubrik's licensing is on a yearly basis. It depends on how much storage you are utilizing online. Sometimes if we go over the VM basis, it will cost us more, so we go on a capacity basis. So, it depends on how much storage you are procuring and backing up. We got the license for the storage.
In terms of appliances, there isn't any complex licensing. Extra costs are related to capacity. If you need to archive your data in the cloud, that would involve an additional license fee. It's an expensive product. Most of the target customers are from major vendor-based enterprise companies but on the other hand, each appliance comes with a good warranty.
