Compared to other products [like Fortigate, SonicWall and Palo Alto], Sophos's pricing is a little higher. The second thing is that support is very good, but we're having more issues getting pricing for the Sophos device on time from our vendors. Whenever we request pricing, we simply drop an email. We create comparison sheets for Sophos XGS when pitching to our clients. We highlight the benchmarks and advanced features, like reporting, that aren't available in other products. We emphasize the value of the bundle that comes with the firewall role. This is a major factor in convincing clients to choose Sophos XGS. The reporting capabilities and overall features are good.

Sophos XGS is a very expensive solution. It cost us $ 33,000. Huawei and Sangfor make much cheaper firewalls available in Pakistan. The equipment is being sold at throwaway prices. If we compare the market prices, the acquisition cost of Sophos XGS is much higher than that of the other market competitors. However, Sophos XGS is cheaper than Palo Alto.

Sophos is comparatively cheaper than other products. The total cost of ownership is better in Sophos. I rate the product’s pricing a five out of ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive.
We have the solution's annual license. Its price is moderate, but it could be cheaper. Also, there are additional costs involved as it requires appointing IT experts.

The pricing is good and very competitive. The costs depend on what model of Sophos we take. A central firewall on the cloud with a cluster might be 70,000 to 80,000 euros for a three-year license. The price of the license and hardware are all under that pricing. You can integrate other features on top. I'd rate the solution a four out of five in terms of affordability.
The licensing is reasonable. Comparing the cost of Sophos XGS with that of Fortinet or Palto Alto firewalls, for instance, it's not that expensive. However, the overall cost depends on the hardware you're using in addition to the licensing cost.

We renew the license every three years. We get better pricing that way. There are no other expenses beyond the standard pricing. That said, there are additional subscription modules you might need. However, you pick them at the beginning, and it depends if you need them or not.
The pricing has changed a lot over the years. Sophos says they are less expensive than other solutions in the marketplace, but that's not my experience. I believe this product is more expensive.
Sophos isn't expensive. It's a mid-range solution that's cheap but not too much cheaper than competitors. It's a good price that meets all our compliance requirements.
The ratio of price and functionality is good. Licensing cost depends on particular model and required functionality: - It is possible to use the firewall without any license, but then it will work only as port based firewall. - Normally we suggest to use at least Standard License. - Licensing cost for single appliance or active/passive HA cluster is the same - only 1 license. - Active/Active cluster requires 2 licenses and performance gain is very small. It is better to use more powerful appliance.
I live in Bolivia and the price of Sophos XGS is high. However, they have adjusted their price a little over the past while but the price could still be less expensive to be affordable.
