I would rate it a seven, indicating a satisfactory and moderate level. Despite being somewhat on the expensive side, it aligns with our long-standing relationship with Symantec, and we find it acceptable.
Symantec negotiated with our purchasing team and offered us a good deal on support and licensing. However, I wasn't involved, so I don't know the specifics.

If you have a variety of different endpoints, including heavily protected endpoints and some endpoints that are in the field, Symantec allows you to apply different licensing so you don't have to put everything under Endpoint Complete, which is more extensive. You can split it and apply licenses for Enterprise Complete to those devices that need that level of protection. For heavily protected servers that mostly deal with file processing or other things that don't have serious exposure, you can just keep them in the standard license. There's flexibility in the licensing.

We have Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise, and it's very competitively priced. However, there is a considerable jump in price for upgrading to the EDR, so that's more compatible with enterprise-level organizations. We are a small shop with 240 licenses but have different sites and only two IT staff. The tool is easy to manage, though it has flaws such as browser protection, and we would prefer if this were a managed solution, as the associated cost is very high. We want to see a more significant price gap between the enterprise and SME levels, but this isn't the case.

I don't handle any aspect of the licensing or billing of the product. I can't speak to the costs involved. That said, it's my understanding that we use it as an organization due to the fact that the pricing is relatively reasonable.
