UiPath's pricing model is complex and based on AI units, which are consumed during model training and use. This makes it difficult to predict costs upfront, unlike a simpler pay-as-you-go model offered by Microsoft. With UiPath, you purchase a bundle of AI units, and even if you don't use them all, you're still charged for the entire bundle. This can be less cost-effective compared to Microsoft's approach where you only pay for what you use.
The product is not very costly in itself. It is part of the normal license. The solution’s cost increases for machine learning or artificial intelligence because we have to go for UiPath Orchestrator. UiPath Orchestrator's cost is very high, around $10,000 per year.
While Robotic Process Automation tools can be expensive, UiPath Document Understanding is no exception. However, the long-term benefits often outweigh the initial cost.

Document Understanding's pricing is reasonable for developed markets because manual entry will be unable to match the cost of automatically processing one page. However, you can get labor for much cheaper in developing markets like India. It's not easy to sell Document Understanding in markets where you can get workers who will do this type of activity cheaply.
I do not know about its price, but for large organizations, UiPath is cheap, whereas, for small organizations, UiPath is expensive. For example, if 500 licenses are needed for one company, UiPath is cheap. If only 5 licenses are required, UiPath is costly.
The pricing structure is based on the number of robots installed. While a single robot may suffice for some customers, others may require more depending on their processing capacity needs and desired turnaround times. The cost per license is significant, approaching ten thousand dollars. While not inexpensive, for high transaction volumes, the potential savings can be substantial.
Its pricing can be looked into because it is on the higher side for developing economies, such as India, where the cost of labor is a little cheaper compared to advanced technologies.
The pricing is pretty fair. It is quote-based. Overall, it's fair. If you are a small firm looking to scale up, it is good. Enterprises should create their own ML model instead of relying on some outside product.

UiPath Document Understanding offers fair pricing, primarily if you consider the number of resources and human work the solution reduces, plus the ROI you can get from it.

It's expensive, but you can reduce the price per license by getting more licenses. Overall, the pricing is okay. One area for improvement would be a different licensing model. Right now, we have to assign a license to allow a user to do validation. We think that standard access to Orchestrator should allow a user to validate.
The pricing is reasonable. As for additional costs, the solution is based on OCR, and sometimes the OCR cap is exceeded. It's not a major cost. Per month, we will have two or three scenarios like that. With ABBYY, once the cap was reached, we had to wait until the next day to use it again.
For the licensing part, in our company, we initially started off with a monthly plan, but yearly plans are also there. Cost-wise, UiPath Document Understanding is good since it provides flexibility in its pricing. So, smaller firms, especially MSMEs, can opt for monthly or yearly plans based on their budget. As an end user, I wish they reduce the price of their pro version to 300 dollars since UiPath Pro starts somewhere around 400 dollars per month. UiPath's competitor, Automation Anywhere, offers a plan for 99 dollars per month.

The solution is expensive because of its consumption of AI units when working with a huge amount of buckets. There are additional fees for the robots if you purchase the action center.

I am not aware of the pricing details. My manager handles that, and as far as I know, Instabase is more expensive.
I find the pricing to be fair. It's neither expensive nor cheap, but rather affordable, which makes the platform appealing to users.
UiPath has a higher upfront cost, but its Document Understanding feature is not a significant additional expense compared to the overall platform.
