Veracode was running a few monthly competitions in 2021 from Jan-July.
The labs themselves were broken into the 10 OWASP vulnerability classes for each month. I think the labs make a better learning addon rather than a platform for competition.
I would also use them in conjunction with other training as this product is heavily practical training. The labs do have explanations in them for each step of the process, but if the devs do not already have prior knowledge of the topic they might end up just doing a copy and paste of the code snippets in the labs.
I'd suggest giving them a shot to see if they work for you but make sure to do your due diligence and shop around.
