What is your primary use case for Huawei OceanStor?

Mostly, it is used for unified storage where high performance is needed for imaging, for file services, and things like that.

I use OceanStor for my organization.

I can recommend the product for companies where there is a need for ERPs or if it needs to be used in the retail sector, departmental stores, the banking sector, big government organizations, and in the defense sector.

I work in pre-sales. I have certification for these solutions. In my use case, I work for a reseller company for OceanStor. Every day, I use the configuration tools to create proposals for our customers.

We have used Huawei OceanStor for our Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) in the back end, where we deliver cloud services and Platform as a Service (PaaS), typically built on OpenStack. We have also used the singular product line for VMware's private cloud.

We primarily use the solution for multiple network locations. We use XL servers and EIP software.

Our primary use case of the 6400 and 6800 is as flash in our private cloud and the 5400's we use for backups in private cloud.

We use it as primary storage for our Virtualization environment (vmware) under HP Blade system. We store the VM and the data on int (SQL Server, etc).
