What is your primary use case for Juniper SRX Series Firewall?

We help the customers. In some cases, we recommend it. Based on the customer demand, if a customer feels that they have to go with Juniper Firewall because they have experience with that product, then we go with it. Otherwise, we generally recommend Meraki devices.

We use it for our IPsec VPN and for IT security and have enabled encryption on the network traffic. We use 128-bit encryption.

Normal use cases like policy creation, infrastructure setup, VPNs, and general firewall functionality.

At our company, we use the Juniper SRX Series Firewall for customers in the banking sector.

In terms of comparison, you can compare Juniper with Cisco, with Fortinet, with Palo Alto and other leading products. It depends on what exactly you are planning to have it do.

During our last network refresh, we did a wholesale forklift upgrade from Cisco to an entire Juniper network infrastructure, including Juniper SRX router/firewall/IDP, EX Series switches, and QFX Series core switches. The entire process took over two years to complete, but once it was completed, we were extremely happy with the Juniper equipment in terms of costs, performance, maintenance, and the ability to function as we needed.
