For regression testing, I have been using Katalon Studio. A recent test case for regression testing involves hundreds of test cases. Running these hundreds of test cases manually takes a lot of time, so I create a scenario and put it into a test suite, allowing me to run all the test suites at once to reduce my testing time. Using Katalon Studio for these regression suites is helpful because I have self-learned it, and it is very beneficial for me. Until now, I used Chrome only, and it has proven to be very helpful for me. In my opinion, the best feature of Katalon Studio is that whenever I have finished, it automatically gives me the Selenium code, which is useful for automation, and it also provides screen capture. For automation and screen capture, I have used the record feature, and whenever I record the application, it automatically generates the Selenium Java code, which I can copy and paste. This is very helpful for finding the locators and all. Katalon Studio is good, and for me, it is a very good tool. As of now, I have only explored it for my test cases.
My main use case for Katalon Studio is to automate desktop applications, which was a primary requirement for us, and subsequently, we utilized it for web, API, and eventually mobile application requirements that came up later. For a specific example of how I used Katalon Studio to automate a desktop app and the web API side, I was working with a US-based manufacturing domain client who had many web and desktop applications, and I aimed to automate their test case functionalities. I discovered that Katalon Studio was the best compatible and suitable tool, so I adopted it after the purchase, primarily due to its modularized design compatibility which minimizes the need for extensive coding and allows for quick automation delivery across web, API, and desktop applications.

Most of our Katalon Studio deployments are based on a private cloud because we work with companies that have particular concerns about security and they prefer to use either private cloud or on-premises infrastructure with machines internal to the company. Being based in Portugal, our team size isn't that big compared with other countries like Germany, UK, or the United States.
