What is your primary use case for Sophos XG?

Actually, we are using Tekton for creating CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying applications to different environments.

We use the product for traffic and security control.

I mainly use Sophos XG for network firewall protection and VPN access. It helps secure our internet connection and allows us to manage our network traffic efficiently. Additionally, we use it for monitoring our local network.

My clients use Sophos XG for deploying firewalls at corporate office and branch offices. The branches connect via site-to-site VPN, allowing outbound traffic from the central location.

It incorporates various functionalities that would otherwise require the purchase of multiple solutions from other cybersecurity vendors. This unified threat management platform encompasses a firewall, IPS, web proxy, mail gateway, web application firewall, sandbox, and DLP module. From the customer's perspective, Sophos XG offers an all-in-one solution for network security needs. However, it is primarily designed for small and medium businesses rather than enterprises.

I am an integrator of this solution, and I have installed it in small- and medium-sized businesses and schools.

We manage all the network services, like DHCP, of each branch office.

We use it for network protection. We use Sophos XG as a firewall in our own company, and we have also implemented it for customers. I have been using Sophos XG for a small office for my own family. We have also implemented Sophos Email Gateway for government mailing servers. It is not so elaborate, but for basic usage, it works very well. We have implemented version 17 to the latest version of Sophos XG.

Sophos XG is used as a firewall to manage our WiFi connections.

We are using the Sophos XG in a different manner than the typical use case. We have the physical box, and we are using Sophos XG on the cloud. We have two different types. We have two different Sophos XG we're running. We're running one on the Microsoft Azure cloud which mostly all security on the cloud goes through the Sophos XG. The second Sophos XG is running on our own physical local data center. We are doing something similar to an IPsec between Azure and the local data center. So we are doing an IPsec between the two. We connected all our resources and we mostly run the applications on Microsoft Azure. Were now are doing IPsec between the two data centers.

Sophos XG is used as a network firewall.

Sophos XG is an on-premise next-generation firewall with comprehensive features and the console is centralized on the cloud.

Sophos XG is a firewall and we use it to create networking rules.

We use the solution for incoming and outgoing computer traffic. It has advanced Samsung features, which means it adds IPS to each of the packets. It creates different zones and manages of each of them individually. It can also be managed from the central cloud solution, known as the super central. It works with most devices. The server comes with web server protection and and provides application, email and avenue protection, meaning the solution boasts many features.

The firewall is used to maintain security. Basically, it's used to make sure that our clients' corporate network is secure. We want to make sure that their email is scanned, protected, and so on.

I primarily use the solution for managing my firewall. I'm managing my internet and my laptops in my company. I'm a personal domain controller. I'm tasked with blocking some websites with it and I'm managing my updates through it. I'm basically controlling the flow of the internet through it.

We use Sophos XG with medical institutions and corporate banks that we work with. There are approximately 20 employees working with this product in our company.

The majority of our customers use Sophos XG as a traditional firewall. Some use it for endpoint protection, which is similar to anti-virus. We also have customers that have SD-WAN as part of their use case. For the most part, it is a firewall, it depends on what the customer environment looks like that would determine how you're going to configure the appliance to work for the customer. Technology can deliver what you want based on your environment, what you do may differ from what others do. We have customers from insurance, some oil, and gas, as well as some from the banking sector. Based on the technicality and the peculiarities of the environment, we must explain the technology, of how Fortinet delivers its own firewall, and also others such as Check Point, and Palo Alto deliver their own firewall. With the explanation given the customer can choose the solution, they want in their environment.

I implemented this firewall for my clients. They're small offices. One has got half a dozen computers, and the other one has about 30 computers on the network. Both utilize VPN to remotely access their workstations in the office. It is sized based on the client. So, there are actually two different versions that I've utilized.

We use Sophos XG for network threat protection in our data center.

There are about 100 people using Sophos at our office. We have two ISPs, so we have to have access to our internet providers. We also need security to deploy our network. We enabled the Security Heartbeat feature, which synchs endpoints with the network layer antivirus; they work as a single unit. If there is a virus attack from outside world, the firewall handles it. If a virus comes when the network layer is idle, the endpoint protection takes care of it, which is why we are using this solution in our office scenario.

We implement different security solutions. We also integrate the different environments and secure them, based on the customer's needs. Our customers are from banking or financial institutions, insurance institutions, telecommunication companies, advocacy companies, construction companies, and retail companies.

We use it for VPN and for filtering direct traffic. We are using XG50.

Most of our clients are primarily using the solution for the network protection it offers them.

We are using it at a gateway level. We are using Sophos XG Series 135.

I was using the Sophos XG firewall in my last job, where it was part of our security solution. We had multiple locations with the internet being provided from a central location. We use this solution for connecting site-to-site and client-to-site VPN for two protocols, IPsec and SSL VPN. We use encrypted tunnels to achieve fully secure connectivity between sites and clients. It gives me a very good, stable connection in all tunnels.

I use Sophos XG as a content filtering, web filtering, and application filtering utility, as well as to integrate with the endpoint antivirus software. I have Sophos Endpoint Antivirus installed on the user machines as well, i.e. the Central Cloud Management version. That's our main use. Sophos XG has cybersecurity. It integrates with the antivirus software.

Our primary use case for this solution is to act as the main broadband device in our data center. The XG 210 model is being used for a hospitality solution.

It's being used as a UTM, no firewalling. So it acts as a bridge. It doesn't provide the IP services, it doesn't provide DNS, it doesn't provide DHCP services, and it doesn't operate as a router or a point of mapping. It's only being used for filtering: Web and application filtering, as well as antivirus. I usually disable the anti-spam on all those units, because I have a gateway anti-spam server in place.
