While there are many advantages to using Infor CloudSuite Industrial, there are some drawbacks that could be addressed. Specifically, I believe there should be better clarity and agreement on all interfaces and requirements before signing a contract. This would avoid unexpected costs and complications later on. We expected more flexibility in customization.
Currently, there are some challenges with handling large reports, possibly due to setup limits or issues with the solution. When the number of records exceeds a certain limit, the reports fail to apply. Improvements in managing larger datasets should be improved.
The reports have a deficiency of data richness. It generates essential financial statements such as Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, or Cash Flow, along with Management Information System (MIS) reports related to finance, which are not supported. Standard reports are absent, and the only available option is an Excel add-in, a limited utility for extracting information to process data externally. However, this process poses challenges regarding data variety and manipulation risks when exporting to external systems or manipulating data within Excel. Consequently, this system lacks the necessary assurance for auditors due to the potential for human intervention and alterations in the generated reports. Two critical areas demand significant improvement. Firstly, integration with external systems, especially banking systems and different bank portals, is lacking. The absence of an interface with banks makes all payment processing tasks manual. Everything requires manual handling outside the system, whether it's payments to vendors or from customers. Secondly, the finance section lacks reporting capabilities. There's a pressing need for enhancement in integrating with external systems like banking platforms and improving reporting functionalities.
In terms of improvements, we can add new features that customers are demanding, such as service and quality improvements. For instance, we could have a model to predict the expected quality, which can be imported and developed as a new feature. We can improve quality features, and there is room for enhancement. Additionally, we can also improve service-related features by adding new functionalities. Each department has its workflow. But there is a hierarchy for pricing, and managers should be approached in such cases. So, there can be a more stabilized way of having a single point of contact to approach at any time. It is already there, but some more enhancements would be good. Regarding integration, specific third-party tools are not accepted, for example, on the old version of IBM or Oracle. Some more workloads need to be done to integrate those tools, and we can have some enhancements on integration. ION is a very good tool, and we use web services already. The old system of using RESTful APIs has been eradicated, and the super approval trial is good. So, this tool is a refined way of working with services where it integrates any third-party tool. But, some of the older versions may need additional adjustments to integrate properly.
Infor OS is powerful, but the documentation is terrible. This is one of the biggest problems. Infor needs to work on its documentation. For example, if I need to create a business object deployment from LVN to element, the instructions for this are insufficient. Many specific use cases aren't covered in the manual. If you don't know or have someone to teach you about it, you will spend a lot of time learning it. They need to have a manual and some tutorial videos online. Infor should create video and images walking you through the process step by step. The documentation is poor compared with SAP. CloudSuite Industrial also needs to improve its IoT product for working with machines. Right now, you need to use another product for that. It is not well done because Infor doesn't seem to understand that ERP needs to work with many things. In particular, Infor needs better integration between CRM and IoT. It's not bad, but it could be better. Infor specializes in artificial intelligence, and that's it. Its approach isn't working very well for some clients. I think SAP is doing a better job than Infor at this point.

The platform's distribution features need enhancement to complement the other products like WMS.

Planning needs to be improved. That is, industry-specific planning details need to be added and refined.

There's no one feature or process that needs to improve. I couldn't give you an example because all of them are important.
