The customization of the interface could be improved. Although we can load and change themes, it still always looks like Moodle. We have not found a way to significantly alter its appearance.
The solution should continue to allow and foster the ability to integrate with cloud services. It will be helpful because we can easily integrate the tool with other services like Microsoft Office 365 and the Google environment. The more the tool is open, the more it can be integrated with something more complex.

The initial setup was somewhat complex. One aspect that I found a bit confusing was the dual editing system, where you could edit the layout of the course separately from editing the content. I often found myself unsure of which mode I should be in. In hindsight, I think having clearer distinctions between these editing modes would be helpful.

Sometimes, the gradebook can get broken if an incorrect formula is entered during creation. It might require administrator assistance or a course rollback to resolve. The students and I can also upload the documents in a folder, but teachers cannot leave feedback. These particular areas need improvement.

Sometimes, discrepancies arise when the information is not updated or lacks precision, potentially leading to the model producing misleading or incorrect outputs based on its training. To ensure improvement, there should be a concerted effort to feed the model with more accurate information for better results. While the existing functionality is serving its intended purpose, there's a need for ongoing enhancements to elevate the product.

If you use it for any form of assessment, you need to integrate some kind of control which is hard to implement with this platform. It would be good to have a feature that would ensure that students are the ones performing the given assessment.
It does have some problems that are hard to work around, but they can be worked around once you figure out how to make it function or how to work with specific components. The ability to input modified, individual, independent grades in a grade center component is not just hard. It almost always requires you to get tech involved. When you're dealing with a learning system where you have people in an open enrollment with all different levels of learning modes or methodologies, and as well as a worldwide student body, you end up with situations where you have to absolutely exempt somebody from a grade or an assignment and enter a new, different kind of assignment because of their skillset or lack thereof. You can't do that in Moodle. It is virtually impossible to do that in Moodle without having a tech do it for you, and when you have to have that level of tech support, it becomes problematic. They need to fix the grade book center. It is the part where you do evaluations. They need to fix it so that the individual professors can make changes directly without having to get a hold of tech support to do it for them.
Everything is very text heavy. There are no videos or moving images. For a visual learner, there's not a lot of visual content so Moodle is not suitable for all types of learners. For audio learners, it seems very one dimensional in how it can be used. These limitations could be a result of how we decided to use the solution.

Moodle Mobile is a really good area for improvement. All of 4.0 hasn't been released yet, and Moodle Mobile is not yet available for all different devices. Some of the activities can be deprecated. These activities are not very useful, and there are so many other ways to accomplish the same thing. Even after ten years, they have them, but they aren't updating them.
Moodle could improve by being more user-friendly. Sometimes it worked and other times it didn't. If you get stuck, then you don't have a point of contact. Additionally, a VPN is required to make sure the connection is secured. Moodle always has connectivity issues, such as the server being down or at times it hangs. Whenever you are using it, you should have the right connection and you should have permission to use it if any additional permission is required.

We have needed to complete many customizations for Moodle to use it in all of our relevant organizations. We have found many issues with the competencies as we cannot assign sub competencies to competencies. Once linked to one another, you cannot unlink them. Once the competency is acquired and needs to be added to another course, it will not be updated automatically. I have to update it manually for those students. This has been a challenge for us.

The biggest area for improvement is the UI. They should also make the navigation simpler to understand. They've recently introduced a new way of having navigation work in Moodle, but they all look very similar. Its updates should be stable, and the support and documentation should also be improved.
Moodle's weakest point is the user interface (although this is being addressed in upcoming releases). The reporting in the corporate version could also be improved. In addition, if you like to customize the platform with many plugins, you may need to spend a lot of time double-checking your plugins and code when upgrading to a new version.
As a developer, I think the UI could be improved. I also think Moodle lacks sufficiently good architecture to handle a lot of users simultaneously. I'd like to see the provision of multi-tenancy as an integral part of the solution because it's costly for users to add that.
Moodle should improve the interface. You can download plugins, such as templates, and use them in Moodle, but they're limited. The interface component in Moodle can improve for students because we always have to train every student on how to use some of each feature. The solution overall could be more user-friendly. Moodle has a security feature which is good, but it's frustrating for some students. In the mobile operation, your login and password have a limitation, you cannot remain logged in. They always have to log in over and over, they have to always remember their login and password. It's a good security feature but it's an eligibility problem for some students.
