There are areas of improvement regarding interfaces, interconnections, and specific modules, such as fleet maintenance. We encounter challenges when connecting with external systems and moving from one platform to another within SAP. These are being addressed, but there is still room for improvement.

The course analytics feature takes a long time to load data, which is especially problematic for managers who want to quickly access reports and dashboards. The payroll and workforce analytics need improvement, especially the integration of SAP payroll. There is room for improvement in making detailed information available in a single view, especially when it comes to succession planning.
The only drawback of the tool is that it is dependent on its database. For soft skill documents, we have to purchase a separate component from any third party that provides better content for the training. The basic structures should be included in the tool.
There is no portal within the tool for collaboration. SAP has a separate product for it. It is called SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone. The integration is a little bit difficult. The integration center needs some improvement.
Professionals have to design or modify the application based on KPIs. It is divided into modules such as performance and compensation. They have fragmented the entire HR process into modules. From a healthcare perspective, KPI-based Learning combines performance and learning. In SuccessFactors, Performance, Learning, and Development are separate modules. Combining these three for Learning development and a KPI model requires procuring three modules. There is integration, but this integration may not be the ideal solution for healthcare requirements. Some applications offer exclusive learning modules with built-in KPIs. For example, some platforms have KPIs integrated into the learning module. Many customers want to have content creation capabilities integrated between their learning platforms. For instance, they may desire a content creator tool like Comfy or the ICC format. Consequently, they might expect SAP to provide free content creation tools as part of their SAP SuccessFactors Learning licenses. This would foster a stronger community, regardless of whether customers utilize these tools. SuccessFactors Learning solely serves as a plain learning experience platform without any pre-existing content.

One area I would like to improve in SAP SuccessFactors Learning is the overall user experience and product feedback loop. Drawing from my experience with Oracle, where user feedback was integral, I believe SAP could benefit from a similar approach to enhance usability and address concerns, especially regarding stability and complexity, particularly in modules like Employee Central.

The solution should have a more user-friendly dashboard because its current dashboard is not so great. It would be more helpful if it could be integrated with the standard integration available with SAC. That would help the managers, supervisors, and department heads.

While SAP SuccessFactors has a clear roadmap with regular half-yearly releases and ongoing improvements, there is still room for enhancement, particularly in their core HR system, Employee Central. However, it is reassuring to see that SAP is actively investing in and addressing these areas, continuously working on improvements. Additionally, while I appreciate the introduction of AI capabilities in the US and Europe, it would be beneficial if these features were made available globally, including in regions like the Middle East where I currently work.
The application integration between cloud and on-premises storage has been completed. However, there is still room for improvement in integrating EC and SAP applications. I believe more enhancements are necessary. Additionally, the onboarding process, particularly in the morning, demands a high degree of intelligence. Morning onboarding is a component of the onboarding modules, and from a technical perspective, it represents a significant area for improvement.
SAP SuccessFactors Learning doesn't have a punch-in and punch-out facility. Although the solution has integrations, it doesn't have an inbuilt punch-in and punch-out facility. The solution has the facility of marking attendance and applying for leaves but doesn't have a punch-in and punch-out facility. For example, if someone starts their day in the morning, they must punch in somewhere on a third-party tool that integrates with the SAP SuccessFactors Learning.

For now, the only room for improvement I can think of is for the solution to be more transparent with the licensing model of the platform. Licensing is a major challenge in the solution. I cannot customize the solution as per a particular situation, depending on which I can determine its usage. I am monitoring the metrics that SAP uses to determine the usage cost.
The organization around this solution internally is not done correctly. For example, if our organization is changing, you would assume that the picture of the new organization will be available within SuccessFactors. But that is not the case, but this may be due to our setup. In addition, the consultants implementing this solution could be more knowledgeable.

What needs improvement in SAP SuccessFactors Learning is the user interface. The user management and the integration of the whole suite could also be improved. The solution also needs to be modernized because at the moment, it's a little bit outdated. It's old-fashioned, and though it has a data import feature, that's just plain outdated. SAP SuccessFactors Learning doesn't have any cutting-edge features.
I am talking about SAP in general, so there are multiple screens that you have to go through, and it takes some time to get used to it. The screens are friendly but rather than having a single interface, there are multiple layers.
SAP SuccessFactors Learning's e-learning portal has a very poor interface when compared to Cornerstone or PeopleFluent. It's a very basic interface, but I know that it has a very good foundation. In a feature release, they should provide a mobile application.
This is a very nice one and gives in-depth information. I am really happy with the quality and presentation of the article. I really appreciate the efforts of writing this post. Thanks for sharing.
The UX & UI, including the GUI, need to be improved. The system functionality is not customizable. The company has to rely on the vendor for technical support when issues come up. This solution does not support right to left for the Arabic Language, and the Arabic text support is very bad.
SAP SuccessFactors Learning is a comprehensive learning management system that enables organizations to deliver, track, and manage all types of learning programs.
