Slack's screen sharing might also add the remote control feature, which is not there. You cannot control somebody else's screen if they're sharing it. You can only view it. That is one feature that could help.
The solution's user interface is not very good and changes very often. Some features, like starting a conversation with a specific person, are difficult to find. Slack's search functionality is easy to use, but it is not easy to filter the results.
We could see improvement in Slack by having an integrated meeting tool. Currently, we rely on third-party integration tools like Zoom to schedule meetings. It would be much more convenient to schedule meetings directly within Slack without additional integrations. It needs to have calendar and CRM integrations as well. One of the things that could be improved is when you are writing; if you press enter, it automatically sends the message. Sometimes, that happens when you want to add a paragraph inside the Slack tool. You can use the Macintosh command function to move to another part. Sometimes, it's not easy to delete messages. I'm unsure if you have a specific timeframe to delete.
The integration with SharePoint doesn’t work properly. It might be due to an access issue in the company. It is quite annoying. Sometimes, we cannot copy a shared document, but it might be because of the settings.
When I share any file with my colleagues, that file remains in Slack storage even after I delete the message. I need to manually delete them one by one. It would be better if Slack had a 'select all' option to delete all the files.
Slack is an official application, and everything should be tracked, but sometimes, we accidentally share sensitive information on open channels. It would be good to have if there was an option to delete messages within a certain time. You could still keep the messages in the background, but they wouldn't be shown to the audience where they were posted.
Slack tends to crash once a month. We have to keep an eye on the dashboard status because there is always an issue with attachments or sending images once a month. The application crashes out of the blue. There are issues in general with the application, especially the desktop application.

Slack is difficult to scale. When scaled on a large scale, the solution's cost becomes a matter of concern for organizations. It is a large project to migrate from Slack to Microsoft Teams or any other platform.

For me, the only thing I can say is that every time somebody sent me an attachment, the attachment was listed somewhere, and then I had to open the conversation and go to the individual to open it. So there is no handy repository or an easy way to quickly look at attachments. For me, that was a bit difficult. I would say that having a small panel with a list of all shared attachments with whom I'm conversing would be important. Many times, I had to search and had some trouble finding the file. But that's about it. That would be a significant improvement based on my experience.

I want a feature in the solution that will help me share documents only with the set of people that I prefer rather than all of them. I would also like the solution to have a feature similar to Microsoft SharePoint where you can group all your documents.

The reason we are considering other products is because of integration. It doesn't integrate with CRM or ERP. We worked with Microsoft Exchange and we worked with CyberArk. We have what we need, so we don't require Slack anymore. But I think it's a good product. The reason is we are moving towards a new CRM, so we have a suitable solution to integrate with the new CRM. We have more specific needs now. Slack lacks in certain integration.
Occasionally, we do experience network issues when trying to log in on Slack. However, I believe it's only happened once. It's not a recurring problem.
The solution could be more stable compared to Microsoft Teams. Also, we encounter errors with Slackbot while granting authority. It needs to be more straightforward in providing documents.
The last time I tried to work with some other partners on the same document, we couldn't figure out a way to work on the same one. We actually have to have one person gather all the documents and then prepare one. It was actually taking way much longer than usual. We’d like it to have more capability for everyone to work on one doc in real time all at once.
Their notifications are generally not very prompt. There is a problem with their notification engine, and sometimes, I end up pressing on notifications. There are a few bugs there. It also tends to lag sometimes. It gets slow. I would like to be able to do live streaming on Slack. Slack allows Slack huddle where you can do a group call, but it is not very well-designed. I'm not sure if it is going very well, but live streaming is one thing that I would definitely love to see. When you use Zoom, I like how you can run webinars. If we could do that through Slack, it would become an all-integrated platform. I would also like to be able to schedule meetings using Slack, similar to Zoom. I would like to see better connectivity between Slack and Gmail where Slack can prompt me for some of the things from my Gmail. For example, there can be a prompt such as "This person has been mailed, and you can contact him through Slack." It should have an automated translator. It would be helpful for interacting with people who are multilingual. For example, I speak English, but the other person might not understand English. There should be an automated translator inbuilt into Slack for such situations. Instagram has a similar feature where for a caption, you can click the See Translation button, and it does the translation for you. This is something that Slack could add.
There could be a read function so that when you send a message, instead of the other person having to add a reaction, you know that the message went through.
I have found it cumbersome to create and set up groups, or channels. I recall having to go through the application, then back to the web site, and then back to the application. I didn't really like that and this is something in the interface that should be improved. If it were possible or easier to create those working groups within the application, without being taken into a browser and working entirely within the software itself, that would be ideal. I would like to see integration with collaborative tools, such as word processing software or programming environments and coding software, made clear, easy, and as broad as possible. It should handle simple products, all the way to complex ones. It should be easily embeddable inside a channel so that anyone can use it. I think that changing the privileges to remove restrictions would help the users to adapt to the platform more easily, removing bottlenecks. Having to request access for particular users is time-consuming and it would be better if more people can do these things themselves.

Slack does not have videoconferencing capabilities, which would have been nice. It would be helpful if they added this feature in the future. The addition of more chat features such as sending GIFs and emoticons would be an improvement.

I would like to see a special feature for multiple people to collaborate on a document, working on it at the same time. For most add-ons, clients need to know the command to run the add-ons. I think it would be useful for them to design the appropriate icons so that non-IT clients can launch them in a simple and easy way. For example, starting a video conference with an already defined room. It would be useful for an organization to be able to define a specific storage space for the storage of all documents exchanged by teams

There should be better integration between Slack and Office 365. It should be easier to work collaboratively on files. I would like the text in chat to be more customizable.
According to my observation, a large size file sharing feature is what can be expected, which will centralize all activities within Slack and that can save a lot of time. I would like to see the social sharing of blogs, announcements, or other news directly from the message corner.
I think the app is good enough, as I don't have any reason to comment negatively on it. The only area of concern that I have is with the inability to preview received documents without having to download them first. This could offer some sense of security and prevent downloading corrupted files or viruses.A "preview attachment/document" would suffice as an improvement, this will allow users decide if the need to download an attachment or not
* I think it's the best till now and the Slack team is doing well. * It will be great if they can start using the offline mode chat. Once we are back online, it will float the messages again.
I think the login feature needs to be improved most because I've been having an issue with logging in to the desktop app for more than six months, but still, it's not been resolved.
Slack is where work happens. It’s a digital workspace that powers your organization — all the pieces and the people — so you can get things done.Slack brings all your communication together in one place. It's real-time messaging, archiving and search for modern teams.
The solution’s initial setup is not very easy.

When someone responds to my message in Slack, a new window opens. There should be an option to roll down the answers.
The tool has stability issues that need to be improved. We are not native English speakers and Slack needs to integrate grammar checks.
The tool should be able to fetch a conversation when we search for it even if it is in the thread.
It is difficult to navigate the tool when I log in to two devices and start a video call. If I log in to two devices, I get logged out of video calls.

Slack feels clustered and hence it should improve its design and UI.
The solution should have less frequent updates.
