The points that I would consider while making a decision for choosing an ESB product or Middle-ware Integration tools are as follows.
Key to integration lies in transformation. So there should be components readily available so as the leveraging and customizing them becomes a seamless business. Hence the Delivery does not meetup with any hiccups.
Platform for on-premise or on-cloud solution should be stable.
There should be continuous efforts from Product owner towards adding features to the components, improving the connectors with additional functionality, reviving the ease to use the integration tools by Developers are something that this company is doing and doing great day by day.
The connectors to different SAAS solutions such as Salesforce and Workday are quiet handy and provide in-house options to get connections working for different business use cases.
