When I evaluate an IDE, I look for the following in particular order
1. Response time as it relates to a CLI.
2. Memory management.
3. Repository integration
4. 3rd party plug-ins and support
5. Code generation and format capabilities

1. Ide should be capable of working with 3rd party application either from plugin or any source.
2. Ide should be used to create design of the template and code is autogenerated so that user not need to write code for everything.
3. IDE should have the capability of code build using ant maven or any other.
4. IDE should support running multiple project in a time.
