Project Description

The objective was to secure the microservices applications running on a GKE Cluster. I provided the recommendation of deploying Istio and terraform to secure the GKE Cluster. I also recommended to use the CIS Benchmarks to ensure that the GKE Cluster has been securely configured.

Lessons Learned

I will calculate the overall pricing for building and deploying a fresh new GKE Cluster using GCP Pricing Calculator so that in the first glance I can provide the bare minimum cost needed to build the GKE Cluster for the new project requirement to the senior management.
