vCenter Migration to New Domain
We implemented a new domain in order to move away from the current one which has an underscore in the name which is not best practice.
We deployed new VCSA 6.5 U2 appliances with embedded PSC in Enhanced Linked Mode. We then exported and imported configurations like folders, roles, permissions and vDS switches using Powercli scripts and the native export function for the Distributed Switches.
We also redirect our SRM servers to the new Virtual Centers as well as our Veeam Backup server.
Nothing migration was smooth and hosts moved to new virtual centers with ease.
