Project Description
The current project is the establishment of energy efficient data centers. We set up a power-thermal-performance monitoring system using external temperature sensors, smart power meters and vCenter API over HP proliant G5 servers. Several experiments were conducted for thermal-aware location setting of the servers and outlet temperature prediction with respect to inlet temperature. Several experiments were also performed regarding server consolidation and minimizing cooling costs. The results are obtained and saved in MS SQL Server 2008 using C#.
