Recently we were able to use OBIEE to build a "game tracking page" for soccer matches; basically a page that allows you to follow scores and stats for soccer matches real time inside an OBIEE dashboard. It required use of external, non-Oracle tools integrated with OBIEE, including NoSQL databases and javascript. OBIEE handled it well, and the end result was great.
When we tried the first time, the goal was to track live games during the World Cup. After running out of time, we created our own "fake" soccer matches to track. Ideally, we would do it using real, live soccer games as originally intended.
