Completed parking revenue automation of $2 million a month in 90 days. Transform revenue data from the parking system as G/L entries to Oracle Financials on a daily basis with a 24 hour lag. Design the complete architecture of the integration with changes on the database design and views in Parking Data Warehouse for better performance. Changed from Synchronous to mix of asynchronous SOA Services to process each revenue stream, detailed automation and exception handling based on business conditions. Project was completed on time and within budget, received good reviews from the customer.
Revenue processing rules and design were not shared by the parking system vendor and had to design some parts of the project on the vendor side when the details came in later in the project. Wish we had the information when we needed it, there is always opportunity to improve when the project starts to work as there are always some unknowns, we had to move these services to a separate managed server to meet the SLA requirements.
