Since there are countless options of benefits administration software available on the market today, it can be hard to choose one. Because each solution has a different unique selling point, you have to figure out which software will work best for your company, processes, and employees. My recommendation would be to go with Oracle’s PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft has a lot to offer, and it is suitable for both small and medium-sized businesses. All from one powerful, web-based product, PeopleSoft offers organizations an opportunity to establish and manage multiple benefits programs, including health and life insurance, plans for leave, dependent care reimbursement, and savings. What’s good about PeopleSoft is that you can define your providers, rates, and beneficiaries, as well as calculate coverage and premiums for employees who have multiple jobs. Another advantage of the software is that it allows you to automatically enroll participants and dependents in a variety of benefit options. Moreover, you can use passive event processing to trigger events automatically, and it also gives you the ability to identify and track eligible employees automatically and calculate and process retroactive benefits and deductions. Furthermore, I like that I can manage and administer flexible spending accounts for both health care and dependent care. There is also a feature that helps you track Medicare entitlements and enrollments, which I personally happen to find very useful. If reports are critical for you, PeopleSoft can generate reports for frequently requested information. And the solution enables you to create your own customized, ad hoc reports for agency-specific requirements, too. For organizations that rely on analyzing trends, PeopleSoft makes it possible to do that and helps you study the enterprise-wide impact of your programs and policies, such as various benefit-expense ratios. Besides providing you with insights into every transaction made by your company, PeopleSoft can help you decrease compliance and cost issues by centralizing and automating your transactions. I also like PeopleSoft because it offers a suite of HR functionality features that enable you to boost enterprise performance, increase productivity, and reduce potential risk. Some of the other features I appreciate about the product include its managerial time reporting, automated leave planning, its optimized workforce scheduling, and its global payroll architecture. I also find PeopleSoft to be very organized. For example, users can view important data in a single place and can even modify them whenever they have to. In turn, this can help organize the processing of employees’ data and lets them record, review, and monitor their performances. Through its user-friendly interface, you can access PeopleSoft’s distinct features that help your organization manage the supply chain, supplier relationship, human capital, financial, and even enterprise service automation. Because PeopleSoft is created by Oracle, which is a leading software development company, you know it can be trusted. Of all the benefits administration software solutions I researched, I felt that PeopleSoft stood out, and was definitely a solid option, with a great set of features and an affordable pricing model. Overall, when compared with other benefits administration software solutions, I think PeopleSoft is an effective solution.
