MikroTik Cloud Router Switch Reviews

I designed and I deployed on a medium ISP provider, internet service provider, so I used this at my core network and the access network. It was working as a distribution switch. I used it as my gateway switch, as my distribution switch, and in access level, and BGP switch, and with the router and everything - a full NSP network.

It is user-friendly, reliable, and cheap, affordable. They're very well suited for small and medium businesses. Here in Tanzania, in some cases, even some large enterprises are using MikroTik due to the fact that they provide many features at zero cost.

The initial setup is easy.

We use this product as part of our network solution, but we also have customers in Cameroon that we have implemented it for. We design their systems at a low cost, implement them, and then provide training.

The most valuable feature is the flexibility within the advanced configuration.

IDS and IPS are very good.

The wiki page that describes the scripting and other features is very good. It is quite impressive for new users who want to learn about MikroTik.

I am using it, and I recommend it to my customers in the financial sector.

The router power is the most valuable aspect.

I primarily use the solution for easy security and access. 

The IT team doesn't need to be on-site to be able to know what is going on within the site, who is logging in what a particular device is, and the resources they're consuming on the internet space. That was why they needed something that has a cloud-enabled feature for them to be able to manage the site. They achieved that, actually.

I use the solution in my company, and we prefer it for security reasons, especially because MikroTik, obviously, offers better security than other routers.

In most cases, MikroTik is pre-programmed, so you don't have to spend much time trying to program or reroute something.

It's suitable for office environments and service environments, like ISPs.

I like that it's quite flexible and addresses different issues. It's quite easy to use, and the pricing is great. We find them to be very capable switches.

We use it for diverse purposes, including the amalgamation of bandwidth, acting as a gateway, and serving as firewalls.

A valuable aspect is its user-friendly configuration, making it accessible even for individuals with basic technical knowledge. It is straightforward, requiring minimal expertise in network legality for effective management.

This solution has been used for government projects like health management information systems and for the Wi-Fi segment. 

We are using different models of this solution because we are a distributor in India. We're using VPS, the 24 board, 48 board, PoE, and non-PoE.

The solution is deployed on-premises.

The beauty of MikroTik is that you have flexibility with the routing parts. The price is also very competitive.
