This solution could be deployed both on-premise and on-cloud, but the on-premise solutions are being decommissioned, so everything is on-cloud only now. The customers who have their solution deployed on-premise are converting them to cloud now.

Pros and Cons
- "A valuable feature of Citrix Endpoint Management is that it's stable. The stability is not a challenge among the move to the cloud."
- "Citrix needs to improve the architecture. They also need to strengthen the application integration. They keep referring to some things to be required as security, and they keep selling the next level and on-premise separately. They should give the customer the opportunity to decide whether they want to use the next level on-premise or on-cloud, but they should not charge additional fees if the customer wants to deploy the next level on-premise because the customer is already being charged as the end user. They should allow next level on-premise optimization without any additional charges."

What do I think about the stability of the solution?
This solution is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
This solution is scalable. We have two large customers who are using Citrix Endpoint Management.
How are customer service and support?
We have had challenges with the technical support of Citrix. It's not that great. First it gets into L1 and then we take another four or five hours to get another engineer in. The time spent is more than that of VMware. The response time needs to be faster.
How was the initial setup?
The installation of Citrix was straightforward. The last installation we did was almost a year ago. It took around two weeks because of the customer's dependencies.
We have one guy, a manager, who is capable of managing everything, Citrix Workplace, VMware Workspace ONE.
What about the implementation team?
We implement this solution for customers.
What other advice do I have?
I rate Citrix Endpoint Management an eight out of ten. I would absolutely recommend it to other people.

Centralized management for iOS and Android platform devices. It can push the policy and application based on needs.
What is most valuable?
Centralized management for the IOS and Android platform device. It can easily push the policy and application based on each departments needs.
How has it helped my organization?
Most of the company are concern about information security. Some of the company devices have been stolen or lost. Using the ZDM, the administrators are able to control the device remotely and send us remote wipe command instantly. It also detects if the device has been jalibroken and rooted and to do necessary actions based on the policy.
BYOD is the new player in this arena, and most companies are trying to allowing it. And ZDM can easily manage it to secure the important information of the device. It can also wipe on the Application that been installed from the ZDM console.
What needs improvement?
Out of the box template policy.
For how long have I used the solution?
2 years.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
No.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
No.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
No.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We evaluated some of the MDM products like Good technology, mobile iron and airwatch. Most of the product have the same MDM function but ZDM is much simpler to manage in terms of administration.
How was the initial setup?
The ZDM setup is quite straightforward. The Zenprise management system is seated in the internal network and we also use the Zenprise SMG (secure mobile gateway) to communicate the device through internet. It is the same setup as the other MDM product, but the Zenprise SMG gives a security feature to control which device is able to communicate to our Email services.

Switch to subscription model raises costs and hampers email accessibility on mobile
Pros and Cons
- "Whenever I need to check my email with my mobile phone, Citrix Endpoint Management is essential for our firm."
- "I would rate Citrix Endpoint Management as two out of ten overall, due to the policy changes and the lack of significant features or stability improvements."
What is our primary use case?
Whenever I need to check my email with my mobile phone, Citrix Endpoint Management is essential for our firm. Without this solution, we cannot access our email system from our mobile phones.
What is most valuable?
Citrix Endpoint Management is just another mobile device management solution. It does not have any particular features that stand out as better or worse than others. The major concern for us is the change from a perpetual license to a subscription-based model, which has removed the financial benefit we previously had.
What needs improvement?
The main issue is the change from perpetual licenses to subscription-based ones, which has increased our costs significantly. Additionally, the user interface is not easy to use. There are also performance issues, such as slowness when opening emails compared to other solutions like Microsoft Intune.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using it for four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution's stability is below expectations. Although I rate stability as seven, I am not satisfied with it. The performance could be better, and there are concerns about Citrix's capacity to improve it due to their focus on other, more popular solutions.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
In terms of scalability, I would rate it six or seven. While I did not have much trouble using it on my Android phone, my colleagues using iOS have faced issues, such as logging problems requiring frequent password entries.
How are customer service and support?
Technical support for Citrix Endpoint Management is not satisfactory. Without proper explanations for resolved issues, like the recurring email login problem, communication with clients needs improvement.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Negative
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Previously, we considered using Microsoft Intune and Samsung Knox. However, Samsung's solution was not feasible for us as it does not work well with iOS devices, which half of our users prefer. At the time, Citrix Endpoint Management offered a relatively cheaper option.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was difficult, probably rating two or three on a scale where one is most difficult. Without engineer support, setup is challenging.
What about the implementation team?
We have one person in charge of maintenance, backed by Citrix's local partners. We focus on response time rather than the number of people they employ.
What was our ROI?
The ROI is almost zero due to the change in licensing from perpetual to subscription-based, requiring a write-off of assets from our general ledger.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The cost has increased significantly from what was previously three or four out of ten to approximately nine, as the switch to subscription-based licensing has made it much more expensive. It is now about three times more than what we used to pay.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We evaluated Microsoft Intune and Samsung Knox, but Samsung Knox was not an option due to its lack of compatibility with iOS devices.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate Citrix Endpoint Management as two out of ten overall, due to the policy changes and the lack of significant features or stability improvements. The fact that it takes a few seconds to open an email does not leave a good impression.
