Leading-edge NLP capabilities, efficient training of machine learning models, and the automation saves us significant time
The machine learning capability is good. The algorithm helps us to get the right data with less training effort. The technology seems to be a little bit ahead of the standard NLP software. They use more pattern recognition, rather than basing everything on reading static text. The problem with relying on an unchanging text is that it can depend on things such as the formatting, and where things appear within a document. This solution can process complex formats, which is helpful for us because we get a lot of PDFs and they come in many different formats. As an example, a carrier might include a list of their rates in a table, whereas a different carrier will write their rates into a paragraph, and yet another will put them into some sort of graphic. If you only capture text then you will only capture part of that data. Pattern recognition ultimately helps us to circumvent the problems in dealing with format variability in documents and allows us to capture the right data. When it comes to predicting what it is that a document needs manual intervention, CMR Plus does it pretty well. They have a QA cycle that is usually able to highlight such data. The content recognition ability, in terms of giving us only the data that we need and nothing else, is pretty good. It has a positive effect on our efficiency and by extension, it impacts our infrastructure costs.

Significantly reduces manual effort and improves team workflows through automated ticketing
We've used Agent Builder, IXP, and Maestro for orchestration. We have created context-grounded searches or chatbots using context grounding, and we also use context grounding within an Agentic flow where a bot or agent reads ServiceNow tickets to determine whether it has been assigned to the right work group. If it has not been assigned correctly due to human error, it automatically reassigns it to the right group. I would assess Agentic AI's ability to extract data points as effective. We created an agent for the purpose of extracting data, though not in a document. We created what we call an email conversation agent that engages with a customer, vendor, or someone in an email conversation with a set goal of extracting specific data points for an action to be performed subsequently. The one automation we have deployed in production involves the agent interacting with team members to collect data points and create a ServiceNow ticket. We appreciate almost all features of UiPath Platform, with one of the most successful ones being the use of Coms Mining. Most of the new features related to AI have all been good, and we use Agentic. We have already created a few agents and have started to use Maestro for a few flows, though we are not yet there to orchestrate an end-to-end workflow. We have good ROI from the automations we have developed with UiPath Platform, which far exceeds the investment in the platform. It has saved us tens of thousands of hours in manual effort, making the team members happy to pursue other things of value.

Pros

"Pattern recognition ultimately helps us to circumvent the problems in dealing with format variability in documents and allows us to capture the right data."
"The automation provided by this solution has saved us a lot of time."
"What I like the most about UiPath is that we can build custom activities. If we want to customize functions based on our logic or use case, we can do that."
"I appreciate the simplicity of the interface as I am learning to be a developer."
"The Orchestrator is quite good because it is a one-stop shop where you can run robots after creating them using Studio. You can create queues, monitor the bots, and if there are any issues then you can debug them at the Orchestrator level."
"It saves manual labor. Those that don't use it have to hire ten to 15 people to do the same job."
"We compare metrics between previous and current states, which shows significant improvement."
"Anything you can do on a computer with enough effort, you can get the robot to do it."
"The most valuable feature of UiPath is the complete queue system-based framework because it is robust for all clients."
"The most helpful features are human-assisted and unattended bots. These features help us drive the workflow in the direction we want it to go. It allows staff to utilize their talents and the information they need. We can remove this small conversation and let them focus on the more important work."

Cons

"We would like to see the overall accuracy increase from approximately 70% to perhaps 85%."
"It would be very helpful to have a simple and extensive training guide, or training model, to help learn how to work with the product."
"Some of the transitions from the forum to submitting a ticket are a little clunky. If a ticket could be submitted on my behalf on the forum, then have me boot over to where the ticket is, that is fine. Just kicking me out of the forum, then having me submit a ticket seems counterintuitive to me."
"UiPath needs to improve the selector and offer better integration for Python."
"Most of our automations have been without a user interface and we need the ability to interact with users directly."
"They could make it more user-friendly."
"The license pricing is very high, so compared to other competitors such as Automation Anywhere or Power Automate, it could be more competitive if these things were matched with the competitors."
"The developer studio could be improved. There have been glitches, but it has improved from year to year."
"There are a lot of AI and ML-based enhancements that could be included in the core product and activities."
"Recently, I faced an outage issue with Cloudflare, resulting in being unable to connect UiPath Platform with UiPath Platform Orchestration, and some of the UiPath Platform Orchestration services were down."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is really good, and it's based on usage."
"One area that is challenging for me is tracking licenses. It would help to have a license dashboard so that we would know how many licenses have been allocated, who they're allocated to, and when they were last used. Right now, to gather that information, I have to go to four different screens in UiPath..."
"UiPath's price is a little high compared to other solutions, but it's easier to use and maintain."
"I don't know the exact cost, but UiPath is more expensive than Power Automate and Automation Anywhere."
"I rate UiPath a five out of ten for affordability. UiPath costs a bit more than other tools like Blue Prism and Automation Anywhere."
"It is expensive. Every product or component is built separately. All the components have a separate fee. UiPath Studio has a license cost. The cloud has a license cost, and bots have a license cost. These costs are recurring on a yearly basis. So, every product or component has to be licensed for a year, and on expiry, you have to renew it. Their licensing structure should be improved. The cost of a bot is a lot. It is more expensive as compared to some of the competitors. It is probably $8,000 for an unattended bot."
"My advice is to try the system out with the Community Edition first."
"UiPath is perceived as more expensive, but it's pretty close when you break down the licensing model and look at how much competitors charge per connection. We've done the analysis."
"I understand that initially, businesses or clients might perceive UiPath as expensive."
