Leading-edge NLP capabilities, efficient training of machine learning models, and the automation saves us significant time
The machine learning capability is good. The algorithm helps us to get the right data with less training effort. The technology seems to be a little bit ahead of the standard NLP software. They use more pattern recognition, rather than basing everything on reading static text. The problem with relying on an unchanging text is that it can depend on things such as the formatting, and where things appear within a document. This solution can process complex formats, which is helpful for us because we get a lot of PDFs and they come in many different formats. As an example, a carrier might include a list of their rates in a table, whereas a different carrier will write their rates into a paragraph, and yet another will put them into some sort of graphic. If you only capture text then you will only capture part of that data. Pattern recognition ultimately helps us to circumvent the problems in dealing with format variability in documents and allows us to capture the right data. When it comes to predicting what it is that a document needs manual intervention, CMR Plus does it pretty well. They have a QA cycle that is usually able to highlight such data. The content recognition ability, in terms of giving us only the data that we need and nothing else, is pretty good. It has a positive effect on our efficiency and by extension, it impacts our infrastructure costs.

Significantly reduces manual effort and improves team workflows through automated ticketing
We've used Agent Builder, IXP, and Maestro for orchestration. We have created context-grounded searches or chatbots using context grounding, and we also use context grounding within an Agentic flow where a bot or agent reads ServiceNow tickets to determine whether it has been assigned to the right work group. If it has not been assigned correctly due to human error, it automatically reassigns it to the right group. I would assess Agentic AI's ability to extract data points as effective. We created an agent for the purpose of extracting data, though not in a document. We created what we call an email conversation agent that engages with a customer, vendor, or someone in an email conversation with a set goal of extracting specific data points for an action to be performed subsequently. The one automation we have deployed in production involves the agent interacting with team members to collect data points and create a ServiceNow ticket. We appreciate almost all features of UiPath Platform, with one of the most successful ones being the use of Coms Mining. Most of the new features related to AI have all been good, and we use Agentic. We have already created a few agents and have started to use Maestro for a few flows, though we are not yet there to orchestrate an end-to-end workflow. We have good ROI from the automations we have developed with UiPath Platform, which far exceeds the investment in the platform. It has saved us tens of thousands of hours in manual effort, making the team members happy to pursue other things of value.

Pros

"The automation provided by this solution has saved us a lot of time."
"Pattern recognition ultimately helps us to circumvent the problems in dealing with format variability in documents and allows us to capture the right data."
"The return on investment is really good"
"The UiPath Platform has improved organizations by saving significant time and money, with approximately 50% return on investment, though this varies by customer."
"UiPath Platform helps significantly in automating manual tasks, reduces the workforce and the execution time required for operational tasks, so it provides good support."
"If an organization has more than 50 processes and you want to monitor them at the end of the day, there is a very good dashboard called Orchestrator. It will show you a report on process status, success or failure. If it failed, it will show you the exact reason."
"What I found most valuable in UiPath is that it's easier to set up than other tools. It also helps reduce human error and is a scalable solution."
"The two reasons that we went with UiPath were, one, the learning curve, and, two, the community edition of UiPath, which had everything we needed to dig into the solution. Whereas with the other companies, there wasn't that option. With Blue Prism, for example, we had to buy a license in order to check whether the tool was going to work for us."
"The option to record processes is the most important feature of UiPath. We can use it to record every action automatically and it is then converted to a workflow. This workflow defines the complete set of processes so that we can automate every requirement."
"Examples of how the features of UiPath Platform have benefited my organization include tracking, metrics, and analytics; it feeds into Insights, and it's really useful when it comes to dealing with fires that arise every day."

Cons

"It would be very helpful to have a simple and extensive training guide, or training model, to help learn how to work with the product."
"We would like to see the overall accuracy increase from approximately 70% to perhaps 85%."
"The platform that shows the reports and errors is not too transparent."
"I would love to see UiPath create a reporting application that you could deploy on the side and feed data directly into it. That would be an amazing tool to have. Microsoft has this data migration interface, so if you create an automation, it checks everything going into it."
"My thoughts on UiPath Platform's user community suggest that a lot of content seems outdated and old now that gets referenced."
"UiPath's built-in integration with Python scripts could be more robust so that I do not have to depend on another technology and I can do everything on one platform."
"Debugging needs improvement in UiPath because I need to do it from scratch whenever I have to debug a code. I have to run the entire code from the start and then check the pointers. If a specific action can be developed in UiPath, instead of running the code from the beginning, it would allow you to debug the code from the point that needs debugging, saving a significant amount of time."
"The tool has some bugs, and it doesn’t respond sometimes."
"The company needs to continue to develop artifical intelligence capabilities."
"My major pain point remains pop-up windows, UI changes, and related issues, which is why I have a four-member support team working daily."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is really good, and it's based on usage."
"We are an enterprise. So, its price is bearable for us, but I am not sure about the small industry. It might be expensive for them."
"UiPath is not cheap."
"Its pricing seems reasonable. I know we've been able to get a good amount of value in a few years. Our breakeven was only in year two. So, we're approaching breakeven in our licensing program. It's not a cheap product by any means, but the value that can be returned on an ROI basis is quite high."
"License costs are high, but the setup is really quick and does not demand a lot of resources involved."
"One of the downsides to UiPath is the cost of the enterprise version. It is a little bit on the higher side."
"I don't know the exact cost, but UiPath is more expensive than Power Automate and Automation Anywhere."
"UiPath is expensive which is why we need to have bots that run 24/7 to maximize the work and justify the cost."
"Its price is reasonable. UiPath's licensing is not a problem for us because we are a big company, but for small companies that need automation, it is difficult to afford. I am from Sri Lanka, and in our country, SMBs do not invest this amount of money into licensing. For a big company, it is not an issue."
