Backup has become straightforward for our clients but deployment insights are still limited
Azure is quite a broad topic, so it is really difficult to give a straightforward answer to that question. Easy deployment for easy configurations is straightforward, but you can make it as difficult and complex as you can within Azure. It also depends on the actual environment. In most cases that we are involved in, it is between two and five people.I am overall satisfied with the pricing and licensing policy of AvePoint, as pricing compared to other products is competitive. I would rate this review as a seven.

Single item recovery has transformed mailbox backups and now provides faster, precise restores
Druva inSync can improve if we can integrate a chatbot. Instead of going through the portal, if there were a chatbot and we could restore mailboxes and groups by chatting with the chatbot, that would be an added feature. The restoration of notes is a limitation. Druva inSync is not capable of restoring notes. If users have something saved in notes, Druva inSync will not be able to restore it. If it could enhance the capability to restore notes, that would also be helpful. If it were to enable chatbot functionality and by just saying to the chatbot to restore a mailbox or restore an item to the mailbox, that would enhance productivity. There is some limitation of restoration for certain folders. If those could be fixed, it would be a perfect product.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features are the email backup and the SharePoint backup."
"The backup and recovery functionalities of the product are very useful."
"Overall, this is a good product and I can recommend it to others."
"For me personally, the best feature in AvePoint Cloud Backup is mostly its ease of use."
"The initial setup is super easy."
"I rate the overall solution a 9 out of 10."
"It is the best product in the market for Office 365 backup, and our customers are satisfied with it."
"The product's initial setup phase was super easy."
"If anybody is looking for a cost-effective and effective data backup and restoration solution, please go with Druva inSync."
"You don't need a certified administrator to manage this product."
"Druva inSync's automation has reduced manual intervention in my data management processes."
"It has a straightforward installation."
"On a scale of 1-10, I rate this solution a 10."
"It's incredibly fast."
"The most valuable feature about Druva is that it is 100% based in the cloud, scans the backups for ransomware, has a security element, includes unlimited uploads and downloads in the price, provides a granular approach to backup and restores so that customers can retrieve individual files, is incredibly fast, and dedupes all your data and only charges you for the amount of data that's been deduped as opposed to what it originally sees."
"Out of all the solutions we evaluated, Druva inSync was the most affordable."

Cons

"AvePoint Cloud Backup's pricing could be lower and more flexible. Particularly, when dealing with smaller customers or more minor businesses, obtaining competitive pricing for bundles rather than on a one-by-one basis remains challenging."
"I would like to see improvements in the tool's initial seed. The initial seed of around 10 TB of SharePoint data took 45 days to complete."
"The configuration could be made easier."
"Some customers choose other backup solutions because AvePoint is Office 365 and CRM backup system, but they have other backup needs for Azure and so on. Such customers often choose another backup solution instead of AvePoint."
"For me, it is very difficult to say how AvePoint Cloud Backup can be improved because I am not working on those implementation projects."
"It is challenging for small or medium-sized businesses to purchase it."
"The product's price is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"It is not a traditional restore process and it is somewhat limited in what we can do."
"The one area that needs to improve is the pricing."
"The restoration of notes is a limitation; Druva inSync is not capable of restoring notes, and there is some limitation of restoration for certain folders."
"The solution takes a lot of time during restoration."
"The backup time is very poor. The backup runs continuously. It goes on from morning till night. The system performance also becomes very poor when Druva inSync is running."
"Auto registration of non-domain machines is missing, as registration is a manual process of creating a key and adding it to the client."
"Druva inSync is very high in price. A general customer cannot afford this solution. Even if the product is good, people cannot afford such a high cost just for taking the backup. This is a recurring investment, and the customers have to pay for it every year. Druva is also yet to develop the channel and the channel or partner commitment."
"The current procedure for data encryption is not as straightforward"
"It would be good if bare metal backups were possible."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I am not sure, but I believe that the cost is $7 USD per user."
"I would say that the pricing policy of the product is flexible and good."
"It costs a little bit more than other competitors in the market."
"The pricing part of the solution is based on a subscription model, which is based on the number of users or storage capacity."
"I rate the product's price a nine on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive."
"It is very good for many of my customers in the banking and finance segments. The price isn't a problem there, but in some other industries, people ask for a cheaper solution. When the price is an issue for the customer, we recommend Veeam, Metallic."
"The platform is more expensive than other vendors."
"The product is fairly priced, I would rate its pricing five out of ten."
"The pricing is good."
"I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten, with one being very cheap and ten being very expensive."
"Once you decide to go with this product the cost can be worked out with the vendor."
"The pricing of Druva inSync is very high as compared to other cloud backup solutions."
"Out of all the solutions we evaluated, Druva inSync was the most affordable."
"The pricing is thirty-five dollars per year or three dollars per month per user."
"It's approximately $4000.00 per user for one year."
