Detailed summaries, good mobile security, and nice reporting
This tool has helped us at various points in our organization. For example, we can have better control over each device that accesses the infrastructure network. We can also reach and process orders, and solutions faster, or be able to consult data in real-time from mobile phones. We can work from anywhere in the country. With Harmony Mobile, we have been able to provide additional security to our network. In addition, it provides a detailed summary of each of the operations from where they access what they access and this has helped us a lot in the audit that they do so we can provide accurate and concise information.

Enhance secure remote access with feature-rich VPN and content filtering
We mainly use FortiClient as a VPN client. Additionally, we use it for anti-malware, anti-spam, and as a content filter. When a user is outside the company, we can use FortiClient as a content filter to control the sites the user can access FortiClient has improved our security posture by…

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The usability is the most valuable feature. It's really easy to use. It's a durable solution. I don't have any breaches. It is a good solution from that angle."
"We like the URL content filtering, that is one of the most valuable features."
"The easy deployment is the key for us. I can simply send a link through email to a user, then they install the software and are protected."
"Check Point Harmony Mobile offers several advantages. It ensures your mobile device is highly secure for accessing Teams, Zoom calls, Outlook, and other business-related applications. Its robust security features protect your device comprehensively."
"The use and management of our portal is easy."
"It has been a reliable solution for our organization, significantly improving our mobile device security without excessive maintenance requirements."
"Harmony Mobile's most valuable feature is the variety of capabilities in the platform, including allowing you to track device status."
"As a security solution for devices, it can benefit us in many ways, including providing us with data security, access control, network security, and more."
"When the user gets authenticated, I can assign a different VPN or network to each user."
"The most valuable features of Fortinet FortiClient are ease of use and simple configuration."
"The VPN connection is the feature that I like the most."
"FortiClient's most valuable features are that it's easy to install and connect and has OTP on email IDs and two-factor authentication."
"Installation was easy."
"The stability is pretty good."
"For our clients with remote sites and deployed firewalls, the filtering and authentication features are very helpful."
"We like its centralized administration, integration with Active Directory, deployment, and stability of the connection."

Cons

"Also, we found configuring device groups & mapping a policy is quite confusing. There should be a simpler interface."
"It would be super helpful if there were more details around the risks that were found on our mobile devices."
"Harmony has more support for Android OS as opposed to iOS. You need a third-party MDM solution to integrate with iOS. If you don't have an MDM, your app can't scan on an iOS device. The solution can scan everything on Android. It sees all your apps."
"Compatibility with other Mobile Device Management (MDM) products on the market should be improved, ensuring correct operation between SandBlast Mobile and MDM."
"At times, when configuring policies, the tool takes some time to apply the policy."
"It does the process in the background and it does a wonderful job but the methodologies don't pop up. They should make it more interactive."
"The project point needs improvement."
"Some configuration options inside the management console are a little confusing because the interface is not always user-friendly."
"The connectivity could be improved."
"Occasionally, the solution may provide a slow connection. In addition, there may be initialization and authorization issues that one may need to take care of while using the solution."
"Its stability can be improved. It is not as reliable as I would like it to be. There are times when things don't work quite right. Our biggest pain point is not related to Fortinet FortiClient and the whole scheme of things. It is related to one of the additional services called FortiGuard. They are the arm that does all of the updates to definitions, keeps all the signatures updated, and responds to new threats and whatnot. What we have found is that they react quickly, but sometimes their solutions aren't compatible with all of the components of the Fortinet security suite, specifically around FortiSandbox."
"Fortinet FortiClient could improve the connection because sometimes it drops."
"More integration would be beneficial."
"The software inventory part is not yet up-to-date. It doesn't have a great interface, which is a disadvantage. I wish we could leverage it, but we don't use it at all because it's not that reliable."
"I think that FortiClient can enhance the multifactor authentication."
"I don't think FortiClient is bad, but it's very buggy. We ran into some issues with the EMS, which amounted to more than 10 cases last year."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Check Point Harmony Mobile's pricing is good."
"We didn't actually purchase the software. It was given to us by Check Point. We are using it as a test bed for possible future customers."
"The product pricing is reasonable for the security it provides."
"Its cost depends upon the number of users."
"Check Point provides a separate license in cases where organizations want to use this only on mobile devices, or laptops/desktops."
"When I purchased the product for one of our company's clients, I realized that the price of the product was competitive."
"There is a need to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs attached to the product. You can opt for a one-year, three-year, or five-year license."
"I rate the tool's pricing a three out of ten."
"The pricing is a six out of ten."
"I don't know it by heart, but it is comparable to other solutions. It is based on the number of clients. It is probably 50 Euros per year per client. It greatly depends on the number of clients you're handling because the more clients you are ordering it for, the cheaper it will be."
"Generally, Fortinet is not cheap. The features that are available for free are only for FortiClient VPN clients, not other solutions. It includes web security, antivirus, and one more feature."
"The pricing is good because you get and end-to-end security solution in one package price."
"FortiClient is quite reasonably priced."
"The solution's scalability is inexpensive."
"The price is okay and competitive."
"The price of the solution depends on the type of firewall you have from FortiGate. I am satisfied with the price of the solution."
