Streamlines our processes and makes everything more efficient and less prone to errors
While CodeTwo Backup for Office 365 is generally great, there is some room for improvement in integrating with Office 365's restore options. Additionally, there is room to improve in managing email signatures. If it could make handling email signatures simpler or offer more features, that would be a plus. An additional feature that could be valuable is a search functionality within Office 365 tenants for specific mailboxes or logs related to events like receiving certain emails or bounce occurrences.

Reliable rollback features for smooth IT operations and an easy setup
We are using Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 to take backups of shop floor PCs. I use it for clients locally, particularly for critical machines. It is also used globally for server-side backups and includes scheduling features like taking ten backups every Sunday when the factory is closed. This…

Pros

"The solution offers ease of configuration. With a wizard, you run through the setup, and everything is configured correctly. Additionally, creating a job is very easy, and overall, the ease of access is excellent. Also, it allows you to use the backups to migrate to another Office 365 environment."
"The most valuable feature of CodeTwo Backup for Office 365 is its restore functionality."
"The tool's porting of targeted sources in CSV was a nice feature. The integration and connection between the tenants were smooth. We could access a template CSV as well."
"The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is the backups, we do not want to lose any files. Each one of the files is updated on a regular long-term basis and kept together in the Microsoft cloud-only."
"The solution is easy to use and stable and can be made to fit one's needs."
"The solution is easy to use. It's very simple and clients find it very easy to find all objects and things they need with the Veeam Explorer."
"I would rate my experience with the initial setup an eight out of ten, with ten being easy."
"The most valuable feature is the data backup functionality."
"I appreciate that Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 allows me to back up on both local storage and cloud storage, providing two options for data restoration."
"It is a stable solution."
"We are able to store it on various cloud providers such as Amazon S3, Rocket, Azure, and IBM Cloud. It can also do on-premise integration, and we are able to use storage from on-premise. We are also able to recover data. It is a really good and intuitive solution. Veeam has developed a fantastic product. I've never seen anything that I don't like about Veeam. It looks like a very complete solution. It is really mature, simple to use, and quite interrogative. It also has APIs for writing scripts."

Cons

"There is room to improve in managing email signatures."
"I attempted to modify the XML files in the product's configuration to enhance the speed and efficiency of the process. While the KBs and documentation were well-written, technical aspects related to speed adjustment parameters were unclear."
"There are two major improvements. First, the UI seems outdated. Second, the tool should support cloud backups. I suggest using Windows Server 2016 or 2019."
"The installation could always be a little bit easier. You do need to be a bit technical."
"It requires quite an amount of infrastructure. You have to set up the instance, and you need to know quite a bit about Microsoft 365 authentication. For some customers, it is a challenge."
"Some additional training materials would be helpful."
"Its price could be improved."
"This solution does provide the option to choose a different target of storage."
"Veeam's performance is inconsistent."
"The solution could improve by having the ability to back up without an agent installed on the system."
"The capacity storage is a challenge everywhere in the backup industry. The general feedback people are coming back to about this is that there is no deduplication based on it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's pricing was reasonable. I don't remember the amount per mailbox, but the cost seemed fair, considering we had around 300 mailboxes to migrate and needed to do it in a rush over a weekend. We didn't have many choices for people to operate the migration."
"Its price is a little bit high, but it is a fantastic solution. It is more expensive than NetApp."
"I'm not sure about the price, but I think it could be lower."
"The solution is not expensive."
"The licensing price is quite high. It's expensive."
"The pricing is expensive."
"Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is expensive, and I rate it an eight out of ten."
"We are talking about a third party solution, so there is a licensing fee."
"This is not a stand-alone product and requires a standard Veeam license for your organization in addition to the cost of the solution."
