Managed threat detection efficiently with minimal resource usage
We used the solution as a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service. It detected threats, and the team managing our services took care of it. We did not face any major challenges or attacks, and memory utilization was minimal. It functioned very well Cynet was valuable since it efficiently…

Has an additional secure filter for banking-related pages and protects from viruses, malware, and attacks
The tool’s initial setup was straightforward. I would rate it a ten out of ten. However, for the setup of the mobile version, I would only rate it an eight out of ten. You will receive an invitation link and you get access as portal admin when you click on it.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The valuable aspects of Cynet are its EDR and XDR components, which are available at a reasonable price point."
"The product did not utilize much memory or resources from the background, which was a significant advantage."
"It is quite stable. I would rate the stability of the solution a nine out of ten."
"The most effective features of Cynet are its ransomware protection and lateral movement deception."
"The SOAR function, deception, and forensics are very useful."
"The initial setup is simple and user-friendly."
"The valuable aspects of Cynet are its EDR and XDR components, which are available at a reasonable price point."
"Cynet is light and transparent when downloaded. The product's data aggregation is also valuable since you can see everything you need on a page."
"It offers good scalability."
"The product is stable."
"The only issue that we have today is with false positives. We have too many false positives with the solution."
"I use the solution to protect our infrastructure. The tool has special frames for banking. There is an additional secure filter for banking-related pages. It protects me from viruses, malware, and attacks."
"It is a scalable solution."
"WithSecure includes an encrypted drive that stores a key for accessing the encrypted data."

Cons

"Its dashboard is not so good. On the dashboard, they don't show the count for client endpoints, which is a failure of this product. This count should be shown on the dashboard. I have 1,000 clients, but I can't see it anywhere on the dashboard."
"It is an endpoint agent, but they don't have a probe for checking the network traffic. They could improve from this point of view."
"Could have better integration with other security applications."
"I suppose everybody's working on AI these days. So, I would like to see more about AI-based threats."
"I think the technical support could be better."
"Their deployment needs some work, especially with integration with remote monitoring management systems like Datto AutoTask or ConnectWise Automate."
"Having a DLP feature would add value"
"Sometimes, it is necessary for me to make important changes to a hard drive of a computer, and because Cynet does not allow me to do that, I have to go to the console and remove the computer from the security group just for Cynet. After that, I have to wait for 10 or 15 minutes for that to take effect. I would like to be able to disable Cynet locally. I shouldn’t have to go to the console to find the PC and then take it out of the group and then add it again to the group. I should locally be able to disable Cynet on a computer with a password or something like that, but it is currently not possible."
"The tool’s mobile version needs to be improved."
"The website rules are too complicated."
"The monthly reporting feature of WithSecure can be improved."
"WithSecure Elements Endpoint Detection and Response is scalable. My company has 800-1000 customers."
"Its automated functionality could be better."
"The initial setup is very straightforward."

"My company's customers have to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs of the solution. Cynet is not expensive."
"The price should not be less than $100 which is quite reasonable for this solution because you are getting multiple components."
"I don't have specific information about integration capabilities or licensing costs."
"The licensing for Cynet is yearly. The solution pricing depends on the customer, but it is not very expensive."
"Cynet has a pay-as-you-go pricing model."
"Cynet is cheaper than other solutions in the market."
"The price is very competitive."
"It costs us 20,000 to 28,000 per year."
"The solution's price is moderate."
"I rate WithSecure a four out of ten because it's quite economical."

"WithSecure Elements Endpoint Detection and Response's licensing costs are yearly."
