Provides flexibility for remote work and offers good performance
My company has a product servicing team of 12 people, consisting of network engineers who call themselves network support, and the other teams in my company refer to them as the setup servicing team. Though not all of them manage Google, some of them do it when required. In terms of the manageability benefits offered by the product to my company's team, I would say that there was not much of a learning curve involved when we migrated from Microsoft to Google around two years ago, and it was pretty easy to integrate. I have not utilized Google Chrome's flexibility for remote work. The solution has some good points in terms of scalability and ease of use. However, my company doesn't like the UX component of the product, and it is also one of the reasons why we miss Microsoft Teams. I can recommend the product to others after considering their needs. If a user has more money to invest, they should choose Microsoft. I rate the tool an eight out of ten.

Easy installation and the initial setup time is reasonable
Stability can be an issue. I have to restart it every two days. And the boot time is quite long. My laptop's old, has no SSD, and is just a traditional Winchester. Had desktops with Windows 11 and SSDs, much better performance. But hardware limitations on my current laptop lead to stability and response issues. It's more like the whole reinstall every two years thing. It makes cleaning a pain. Performance improves significantly after a fresh install, then slowly deteriorates as I add more programs. But my biggest concern with Windows 10 is actually bigger than my situation. I'm replacing my laptop anyway, but I read that Windows 10 support ends in a year or so. And with hardware limitations, many other computers won't run Windows 11. So it's not just me. A lot of people with decent, still-working Windows 10 machines will lose support and be unable to switch to 11. This will be a significant problem for individuals and institutions. Large companies with thousands of computers don't replace them every three years, and they might face issues with many computers unable to run Windows 11 and lacking support for 10.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The best part of Chrome is security."
"The solution has been stable."
"The breadth and capability of the various extensions and plug-ins that are out there for Chrome to do additional things on top of just working in the browser are fantastic."
"The initial setup is straightforward."
"We use the product to run applications and devices."
"Google Chrome's reliability is a valuable feature, providing consistent and comprehensive search results."
"Google Chrome Enterprise is a stable solution with good performance."
"It has been working pretty well for us...By and large, things are pretty stable."
"Windows has significantly improved its performance and stability over the past seven or eight years. In the earlier days, issues were more challenging to resolve, but nowadays, most problems are easily fixed."
"Windows 10 is a user-friendly operating system."
"This is a stable product."
"Windows 10 is stable and scalable."
"The operating system itself is good."
"The most valuable feature of Windows 10 is the usability. The performance, security, and user interface are good."
"It's easy to use."
"One feature I have found most valuable is Windows Hello. Windows Hello brings in a password-less solution, wherein users don't need to type in their password. They can do biometric logins or pin-based logins."

Cons

"The solution could be made cheaper."
"The product must improve its speed."
"The tool is not very user-friendly."
"Chromebooks are hard to find in the Indonesian market."
"Additional data security and data privacy features could be proactively recommended by Google."
"Identifying areas for improvement can be challenging since Chrome consistently strives to enhance itself. One aspect I'd like to highlight is virtualization. For instance, if you require desktop-based applications like Cisco or Adobe products on your local machine, Chrome's support is limited. While they offer Linux solutions for virtualization, my query or request would be to expand this to include Windows-based applications. If this were implemented, it would be a valuable enhancement, encouraging broader adoption by companies."
"You still need to have a pretty good understanding of GCP to deploy it properly."
"The solution's interface is an area with certain shortcomings that need improvement."
"It would be helpful if Windows had its own antivirus to protect the OS. They should provide an antivirus with it."
"Windows 10 has a lot of Microsoft Widgets and preinstalled software we never use."
"Could be easier to manage and use."
"I think there are too many unnecessary questions when installing the solution. I try to do it as quickly as possible, answering "no" or "I don't want" to most questions. I don't remember the questions because I just try to skip them all. I don't pay attention to particular questions as I don't need them. I know I'll get Windows at the end, which I need. Compared to years ago, the installation process now has many more non-technical questions about usage and family members, which I don't like."
"They have a lot of updates, and most of these updates don't have a major feature. We do an update, and we usually don't see any new features from the end-user perspective, which is quite unlike phone updates, where after the update, we usually see something really new. We should be required to update Windows 10 only for major changes. The updates also take a lot of time. When the updates are going on, the PC becomes a bit slow."
"I don't face major challenges with Windows 10. My main concern is how the system protects against hackers, especially after recent reports of systems being accessed without user knowledge. For improvements, since Microsoft plans to stop supporting Windows 10 soon, it might be better to focus on Windows 11. However, if I had to suggest improvements for Windows 10, I'd recommend including convenient features like those in Apple products. For example, Apple's easy printer setup without needing to install drivers."
"The cost of Windows 10 is a bit high. They should work to make it lower."
"It would be great if they could make the systems boot faster but I think it is more of a function of the PC than the solutions."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product price is very good in my opinion."
"Google Chrome Enterprise is a medium-priced solution."
"Pricing varies significantly based on different regions and specific requirements. The cost can differ for the Euro price as opposed to the Asia-specific price. Generally, the standard pricing falls within the range of twenty-five to thirty dollars per license. This payment can be structured on a monthly or yearly basis. Opting for the yearly payment plan often comes with an added discount, either directly from Google or through negotiations with your vendor."
"We are on a monthly subscription for this solution."
"So all I can say is just for us since we just recently re-upped our three-year contract for Google Education Enterprise, whatever the name is for their highest level enterprise...I found the pricing to be pretty reasonable overall."
"Yearly payments are to be made towards the licensing costs of Google Chrome Enterprise. It is not an expensive solution. I rate the solution's pricing model a six out of ten. There is a need to pay an extra cost in addition to the solution's standard licensing fees."
"For my home computer it's a lifetime license, only purchased once."
"The pricing scheme could improve for Windows 10. There is an annual license required for the use of this solution."
"There is a license for this solution and it normally comes free with any system."
"We pay Microsoft a yearly license fee."
"The solution comes with a licensing fee."
"I have taken the full license, but its cost is very high. Its cost should be reduced."
"My company has opted for a volume-based license."
"Every time I've bought Windows, it came bundled with the laptop, so we are talking about a perpetual license."
