Provides flexibility for remote work and offers good performance
My company has a product servicing team of 12 people, consisting of network engineers who call themselves network support, and the other teams in my company refer to them as the setup servicing team. Though not all of them manage Google, some of them do it when required. In terms of the manageability benefits offered by the product to my company's team, I would say that there was not much of a learning curve involved when we migrated from Microsoft to Google around two years ago, and it was pretty easy to integrate. I have not utilized Google Chrome's flexibility for remote work. The solution has some good points in terms of scalability and ease of use. However, my company doesn't like the UX component of the product, and it is also one of the reasons why we miss Microsoft Teams. I can recommend the product to others after considering their needs. If a user has more money to invest, they should choose Microsoft. I rate the tool an eight out of ten.

User-friendly platform streamlining client connectivity
We are using Windows Server to connect our client software. We use it to access client systems and work on SQL databases Rather than purchasing and setting up infrastructure, we are using Windows Server, which obviously saves some costs. Windows Server is fulfilling our daily work-life purposes.…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Google Chrome Enterprise is a stable solution with good performance."
"It has been working pretty well for us...By and large, things are pretty stable."
"The solution has been stable."
"Google Chrome's reliability is a valuable feature, providing consistent and comprehensive search results."
"This solution is user-friendly with security features detecting if there is suspicious activity on the browser. There is a lot of extensions we can use to provide us with good coverage."
"The breadth and capability of the various extensions and plug-ins that are out there for Chrome to do additional things on top of just working in the browser are fantastic."
"The initial setup is straightforward."
"The solution's most valuable feature is its browser, which offers good performance."
"This is quite a stable product."
"The installation was straightforward and easy."
"PowerShell is a great feature of the solution."
"The product offers in-house servers. It helps us update them and check any technical issues easily."
"The solution is stable."
"The solution is easy to use and it has good performance."
"The only thing that is extremely valuable about the solution is that most applications run on it. That's where it brings the value in as we have the server to run our applications."
"The product helps us manage user credentials and daily passwords for various applications."

Cons

"The product's stability can be better."
"Google Chrome Enterprise doesn't use AI in its solution."
"I wish there was a way that they could update things a little less often if anything. I think a lot of enterprise customers are frustrated... Certain plug-ins like ad blockers will lose some functionality in the next quarter to half a year."
"Identifying areas for improvement can be challenging since Chrome consistently strives to enhance itself. One aspect I'd like to highlight is virtualization. For instance, if you require desktop-based applications like Cisco or Adobe products on your local machine, Chrome's support is limited. While they offer Linux solutions for virtualization, my query or request would be to expand this to include Windows-based applications. If this were implemented, it would be a valuable enhancement, encouraging broader adoption by companies."
"The product must improve its speed."
"There is a need for improved features to refine search results and narrow them down efficiently."
"You still need to have a pretty good understanding of GCP to deploy it properly."
"They need to deal with their memory management."
"As for additional features, we are very interested in the new feature released by Windows: Azure Virtual Desktop. We are currently exploring it so that instead of people depending on their own desktop, we could work on Azure Virtual Desktop. Integration with Azure Virtual Desktop would be cool."
"It is not fast and is very slow. Versions before 2002 are not stable."
"I would like to see better updates and for it to support other applications"
"The scalability of Windows Server is okay, but it could be better."
"Active Directory should have groups and policies. It could probably provide a better overview of how Active Directory is built."
"It is not easy to use. It can be more user-friendly to make our routine work a bit easy. It could also be cheaper."
"The customer support team is not satisfactory. Their expertise has diminished. I rate them two out of ten."
"Resolving problems in the Windows environment should be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We are on a monthly subscription for this solution."
"Google Chrome Enterprise is a medium-priced solution."
"Yearly payments are to be made towards the licensing costs of Google Chrome Enterprise. It is not an expensive solution. I rate the solution's pricing model a six out of ten. There is a need to pay an extra cost in addition to the solution's standard licensing fees."
"The product price is very good in my opinion."
"So all I can say is just for us since we just recently re-upped our three-year contract for Google Education Enterprise, whatever the name is for their highest level enterprise...I found the pricing to be pretty reasonable overall."
"Pricing varies significantly based on different regions and specific requirements. The cost can differ for the Euro price as opposed to the Asia-specific price. Generally, the standard pricing falls within the range of twenty-five to thirty dollars per license. This payment can be structured on a monthly or yearly basis. Opting for the yearly payment plan often comes with an added discount, either directly from Google or through negotiations with your vendor."
"We have purchased a perpetual license to use the solution."
"My company has an enterprise agreement with Microsoft. I feel that the price of the product is okay."
"One must pay for a license for the solution."
"Windows Server is highly priced."
"We pay these on an annual basis."
"There is a license required for Windows Server and Microsoft the cost is based on the number of ports that you have on the production server."
"There is not a license required for this solution."
"The software costs are dependent on what CAL requirements you have."
