It's a scalable open-source enterprise application that's easy to maintain and configure
We use NGINX for API routing.  API is an open-source solution. It serves as a reverse proxy, routing users to our services without leaving us exposed.  API routing is the most valuable feature.  The UI could be more attractive.  I have used API Gateway for about three months. I rate NGINX API…

Solution simplifies web service testing with impressive speed and accessibility
It is very easy for me to use and I highly prefer it compared to SoapUI and other products for performing its job. It is more handy and faster. It has impacted us very nicely. Postman is used for free by us. I'm not sure if there might be a paid version for multiple users. It is a very good product used for development. It is easy to install, as well as to learn, particularly for new users, even if they are not developers. I taught my business analyst to use it. I just showed them once, and it was easy for them to understand. For example, I gave them the URL and request format and asked them to test independently. They were able to use it on their own and do their testing as well. It was a good experience, especially for generally smart people, like those we usually hire in our company. It is pretty easy to explain, and learning it is not complex.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's easy to install, and the performance is good."
"We do not face any lags."
"API routing is the most valuable feature."
"The solution is stable."
"Postman allows you to incorporate and export the test cases we create. It enables me to share the test cases with my colleagues, so I don't have to copy them into an Excel sheet. Postman lets me export the dataset and share it with my team. They can use my test case for their testing."
"The environment variables are a valuable feature because I can easily switch them and see all the developments in different cycles and stages."
"One of the most valuable aspects of Postman is scalability. We can scale the collection and for the multiple repositories of the collections."
"It's easy to see different versions of responses."
"The initial setup of this solution is straightforward. Postman can be used as an extension in Google Chrome for those who do not wish to install it directly. Deployment took an hour and a half."
"I like that it is very easy to use. I also like the automation feature."
"It allowed us to understand the working and performance of the APIs."

Cons

"It could be more secure because security is always a problem."
"The UI could be more attractive."
"The product must improve its security features."
"An area that needs some improvement would be to allow multiple windows with different collections to be open at the same time."
"The request encryption could be one thing on which they can work a little bit. If we don't want to expose our production data but we still want to test our APIs on the production data, there should be a way to do that. It is not only with Postman. I think no tool in the market is doing that right now."
"I would like to see more integrations with other platforms."
"Postman does not have a check-in balance. Essentially what I mean by that is if there is something that is already configured on a particular device, it just overrides it without checking whether you really want to override it or not."
"I have display issues in my Windows that need to be fixed."
"I have recently noticed that, for some reason, I am not able to import collections in JSON. It is weird because I was able to do it before. When you create a new collection and documentation, in tests, you usually have to click Save. If you don't click Save, your collections don't sync with other devices, which is something I don't like. It is not clear for the users in a shared workspace, and I usually forget to click Save and end up losing all the collections that I created. I create a lot of routes, and clicking Save all the time isn't efficient. Instead of clicking Save all the time, there should be an option to save everything in one go."
"One area that could be better is collection management."
"Testing API is pretty straightforward in Postman, but it falls short when testing web services. For example, when we test web services, there is a visual component that we can import in SoapUI but not in Postman."

"I use the tool's free version."
"The solution's price is reasonable."
"Postman is a free service."
"I am using the free option."
"I rate the product's price a nine or ten on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is very expensive. Postman is an expensive tool for Turkey."
"The solution is open-source and free."
"It is free."
