Detects and blocks ransomware threats well
I find that Nutanix’s resilience is the most valuable because it is a feature that is not found in other technologies. The throughput and latency of Nutanix Unified Storage for data-intensive workloads, such as AI or data analytics are excellent since we have tested it and it has worked correctly as indicated for Objects. It has worked well with Veeam backups. It has been integrated without problems. The API has worked correctly and there were no problems when it came to integration. I think it is one of the features that we liked the most. It detects and blocks ransomware threats well. The data lens themes where we have the detection of unwanted files and the exclusion policies for files that we do not want in our data work well. Perhaps it could be improved by integrating other security solutions that can improve the detection of those files. We haven’t used Nutanix Data Lens that much but I believe the organization started using it because of the issue of counter-threats and the intention with endpoint protection solutions. As far as I have tried it, it seems to work well. The extension exclusion policies feature seems to be very valuable and the “WORM” function that keeps the data consistent as is. It seems to me that it is one of the most interesting functions it has.

Reliable, affordable, user-friendly, and integrates well with third-party solutions
We use the solution in our organization. Our customers also use it. We put it on a bucket and then use the AWS CLI tools to fetch and manipulate files. We use Hot Cloud Storage for backups. The solution is suitable for medium data storage The solution makes us more reliable. Since it is a cloud…

"It is a highly scalable solution."
"Currently, the most valuable aspect of our Nutanix implementation is its file storage functionality."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the Prism Central centralized management console."
"DR and the replication power are valuable."
"The customer service executives of all Nutanix products are active and responsive."
"I like its interface. It is very interactive and simple to use."
"Nutanix has excellent product documentation available on their portals, written in simple, easy-to-understand language."
"The most valuable feature of Wasabi is the backups."
"Basically, I set Wasabi up and forget it. I'll monitor it every once in a while just to make sure that it's working correctly."
"The tool is very user-friendly."
"The most valuable feature of Wasabi is its cost."
"Wasabi is an easy-to-use solution."
"The initial setup is straightforward."
"We can store our videos on hot storage, allowing immediate access to them."

Cons

"The GUI is easy to use, but it's complex to do tasks from the command line. That is one way they could simplify things for the engineers. People tend to use a graphical interface more than the command line interface. If anything goes wrong, we need to do troubleshooting from the CLI. It would be nice if there were more ways to fix issues within the GUI."
"Perhaps when it comes to deploying NUS virtual machines on top of CVMs, it should not be necessary for it to be in all of them or they should require fewer resources on the servers."
"For me, personally, it's a little bit slow because there's so much stuff in the underlying layers that even after talking with Nutanix support, I couldn't really grasp it."
"One thing I'd appreciate is having a desktop application similar to what VMware offered."
"I have heard that there have been latency problems."
"While Unified Storage has evolved a lot over time, its database handling needs to improve a little. There could be an improvement in terms of costs. It's a little expensive for Brazil but still delivers a lot of performance."
"The product needs to work a bit more on its ransomware detection capabilities."
"What's missing in Nutanix Files Storage is the support for multiple intranets or VLANs on the same file from different networks and network devices."
"The scalability could be improved."
"Having the ability to upload and download data using third-party apps such as Mega which can sync to the desktop would be excellent."
"The scalability could improve."
"I don't have enough experience to understand the nuances of where they might improve."
"The solution’s user reporting could be improved."
"The solution must allow the extension of the retention period."
"Setting up users on the appliance should be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of the license is expensive when comparing it to traditional storage."
"Nutanix's pricing is definitely much better when compared to other storage providers. That was one of the main reasons we switched to this platform."
"In my opinion, the product is fairly priced."
"It is not too high for what we are using."
"The price can always be improved. As a customer, you always seek reasonable solutions within your budget, and they give us little to do a lot. My IT team always has to justify that we are choosing an optimal solution, so the price could be a little lower Maybe the prices could be a little bit lower."
"While the price may not be the most affordable, I believe it offers good value for the benefits it provides."
"Nutanix Unified Storage is competitively priced. There aren't any competitors that can do much better for the same price."
"I am not the one who makes the calls, but it seems to me that it was very competitive. Other solutions would have required dedicated hardware, so an additional CapEx has to be put in place. In that sense, it was definitely a more competitive option to go with Nutanix Files."
"Wasabi is a cost-effective solution for data storage, priced at just under six dollars per terabyte."
"Wasabi has better pricing than Nutanix."
"The price is reasonable."
"The price of the solution is inexpensive."
"I can only tell you that Wasabi costs about half what Amazon Web Services is charging. Now, the cost per month is a more difficult question. That varies depending on the capacity, the services you're employing, and that type of thing."
"The tool’s price is very reasonable."
"Wasabi is a cheap solution, and users have to pay for a monthly license."
