Significantly reduces manual effort and improves team workflows through automated ticketing
We've used Agent Builder, IXP, and Maestro for orchestration. We have created context-grounded searches or chatbots using context grounding, and we also use context grounding within an Agentic flow where a bot or agent reads ServiceNow tickets to determine whether it has been assigned to the right work group. If it has not been assigned correctly due to human error, it automatically reassigns it to the right group. I would assess Agentic AI's ability to extract data points as effective. We created an agent for the purpose of extracting data, though not in a document. We created what we call an email conversation agent that engages with a customer, vendor, or someone in an email conversation with a set goal of extracting specific data points for an action to be performed subsequently. The one automation we have deployed in production involves the agent interacting with team members to collect data points and create a ServiceNow ticket. We appreciate almost all features of UiPath Platform, with one of the most successful ones being the use of Coms Mining. Most of the new features related to AI have all been good, and we use Agentic. We have already created a few agents and have started to use Maestro for a few flows, though we are not yet there to orchestrate an end-to-end workflow. We have good ROI from the automations we have developed with UiPath Platform, which far exceeds the investment in the platform. It has saved us tens of thousands of hours in manual effort, making the team members happy to pursue other things of value.

It lightens the workload while giving our clients greater visibility into what's being done and how
I've used Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath, and Pega Robotics, formerly OpenSpan. I still have ongoing projects with those, which tend to be client-driven. Verint probably works better for us because it originated in the call center world. Pega Robotics is probably the only one that can match Verint in that segment. Verint is better for call center employees or back-office workers. Depending on the use case, we could have used Automation Anywhere or UiPath. Those other solutions focus on replacing workers and automating all their tasks. Verint aims to make the workers more efficient and allow management to see what the worker is doing. You can have an equally significant impact with either approach, but I prefer the human-centered approach.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features of this solution are that it is powerful and easy to use."
"The solution connects with different services via a plug-and-play model that includes Microsoft, Amazon, and Google."
"Ease of use and speed of development are the most valuable features."
"The solution has decreased the processing time of the client's invoices for IT. Just IT. Not the rest of the organization. That said, just there, that’s 600 hours of annual savings in one department. On top of that, we’ve decreased processing time by 90%."
"I have no issues with stability. UiPath improves how our infrastructure works and how stable everything is."
"It offers an advanced and in-depth set of features, allowing for intricate and specific automation tasks."
"The most important and valuable feature of UiPath is the ease of creating automations. It's a workflow-based model. End-to-end coverage is, no doubt, very important, because when you use a fragmented solution, the overall process flow becomes shaky. UiPath has the required capabilities to create an end-to-end solution for a business case."
"The most valuable feature of UiPath is its usability. It's very easy to understand."
"Verint RPA gives our clients greater visibility into what's being done and how. It also lightens the load on the workers by automating tasks."

Cons

"Orchestrator needs to have better integration to include business users."
"We can not exceed ten records in the UiPath database because the UiPath architecture will become extremely slow and not respond."
"The bots do not seem stable and we spend a lot of time fixing things that break."
"There is some room for improvement in the area of error handling. I had to create a custom approach to error handling. If there were some sort of activity or workflow that could be easily dropped in to help support that, it would be good. Error handling and logging, as well as process logging would be a big help."
"One thing that would be helpful is if the support team could quickly help us when we raise a ticket. It takes them at least one or two hours to get back to us. With Automation Anywhere, if there is a Severity 1 issue, their support responds within 15 minutes."
"RPA is always good, and UiPath's Document Understanding is interesting. We used the old model, but the new modern Document Understanding is much easier."
"We have had some problems with processing errors, but these are largely due to our legacy system and UiPath is working to help resolve the issue."
"The forum's a great place, however, for a new person, it was better some years ago. It's grown so fast, and it's not that as nimble. Previously, if you asked questions and the response time was quicker."
"Verint RPA needs a more robust toolset to create complex UIs for workers. It's probably not just this product. Almost all automation solutions have similar limitations."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Price-wise, it is not the cheapest one on the market, but it provides the fastest automation and the best training that I have ever seen for RPA, through the UiPath Academy."
"The licensing fees for this solution are $8,000 USD annually."
"Its price could be better. They should reduce its price. The insights module, process mining, document understanding, and other modules should come as one package because when you buy a module, it usually is not enough for a project, and then you have to buy another module. They might already have bundled these. I have not checked it recently."
"Its cost is a bit on the higher side. We are not very happy with their pricing. Most of the UiPath products are priced higher than competitors."
"UiPath is a pretty expensive tool compared to what the market offers, including open-source alternatives that can do similar things."
"The pricing for UiPath is OK, but it's a bit on the higher side, as the target audience is a bit different."
"They give it away in the community edition for free, so I use it at home."
"If you want to start doing RPA, I think you should definitely go with UiPath because it has the Community edition. You can just install it and check whether or not your process works fine with UiPath. It will be an attended bot, but you can form an idea whether your bot can easily be automated."
