Significantly reduces manual effort and improves team workflows through automated ticketing
We've used Agent Builder, IXP, and Maestro for orchestration. We have created context-grounded searches or chatbots using context grounding, and we also use context grounding within an Agentic flow where a bot or agent reads ServiceNow tickets to determine whether it has been assigned to the right work group. If it has not been assigned correctly due to human error, it automatically reassigns it to the right group. I would assess Agentic AI's ability to extract data points as effective. We created an agent for the purpose of extracting data, though not in a document. We created what we call an email conversation agent that engages with a customer, vendor, or someone in an email conversation with a set goal of extracting specific data points for an action to be performed subsequently. The one automation we have deployed in production involves the agent interacting with team members to collect data points and create a ServiceNow ticket. We appreciate almost all features of UiPath Platform, with one of the most successful ones being the use of Coms Mining. Most of the new features related to AI have all been good, and we use Agentic. We have already created a few agents and have started to use Maestro for a few flows, though we are not yet there to orchestrate an end-to-end workflow. We have good ROI from the automations we have developed with UiPath Platform, which far exceeds the investment in the platform. It has saved us tens of thousands of hours in manual effort, making the team members happy to pursue other things of value.

It lightens the workload while giving our clients greater visibility into what's being done and how
I've used Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath, and Pega Robotics, formerly OpenSpan. I still have ongoing projects with those, which tend to be client-driven. Verint probably works better for us because it originated in the call center world. Pega Robotics is probably the only one that can match Verint in that segment. Verint is better for call center employees or back-office workers. Depending on the use case, we could have used Automation Anywhere or UiPath. Those other solutions focus on replacing workers and automating all their tasks. Verint aims to make the workers more efficient and allow management to see what the worker is doing. You can have an equally significant impact with either approach, but I prefer the human-centered approach.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One thing that we love about UiPath is that the pricing is very good. While we are developing, they have a free option. The Pro option is for just $420. Once we go live, we do not mind paying, so the price point is very good."
"It's incredibly user-friendly, making it accessible even to non-developers."
"My impression of UiPath's stability is good. Compared to some other automation vendors that I've used, I would say that UiPath is more stable and better."
"I'm not worried about the stability of the product. If others are using it in the cloud with much more complicated processes than we are automating, it's not really a concern of mine."
"It's definitely saving time for employees. One of our most successful automations frees them up from doing an entire task. Their quality of life has had a big improvement. It also happens to save a lot of hours. It saves a little over 2,000 hours annually."
"I like the REFramework. It's one of the unique selling points of UiPath because it gives you a framework within the software to structure your processes. It's perfect in terms of error handling and it provides a lot of functionalities for processing multiple transactions. It makes the whole solution more robust."
"UiPath is easy to use with very simple drag and drop functionality that allows you to automate processes without knowledge of coding."
"Storing data partially using internal data tables for internal calculations, without relying on a full database, is most beneficial for our workflows."
"Verint RPA gives our clients greater visibility into what's being done and how. It also lightens the load on the workers by automating tasks."

Cons

"UiPath could improve integration with other platforms, like the SAP platform. I heard that SAP has their own automation processes in their platform and they are trying to avoid integrations with RPA platforms. Sometimes, that can be difficult. UiPath's room for improvement is having the ability to integrate with as many platforms as possible."
"The cost can be a barrier."
"AI can become more intelligent to facilitate the ease of automation."
"UiPath could do some optimization of how you search through your process flows."
"Task management is complex and difficult for new users. They should simplify the interface for new users. There are lots of flow charts and automation things in task management, so I would suggest streamlining it."
"Its price is high compared to many other tools. When we go for any additional capability, everything comes at additional pricing. As a package, they can provide something that helps with scalability in terms of bot addition."
"I would like UiPath to improve its screenshot feature. It should have the option not to take screenshots unless the user specifically allows it. Sometimes, it is a security issue for companies that do not want to share screenshots of the main application. Another thing I want to see is a standalone mobile application that we can run anywhere. I would like more cross-platform application support."
"There are a lot of things that can be done to the product to make it better but they are minor and the product continues to improve with every release."
"Verint RPA needs a more robust toolset to create complex UIs for workers. It's probably not just this product. Almost all automation solutions have similar limitations."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"UiPath's cost is moderate."
"We license the product on a yearly basis and it costs us around $80,000."
"I would definitely recommend UiPath, although the major concern is that it's not super cheap. Despite its higher price, I understand the complexity behind it since it's the most comprehensive RPA solution."
"This solution is priced less compared with other products."
"The pricing is very expensive, making it challenging to continue using UiPath when competitors like Microsoft offer cheaper alternatives like Power Automate. Why continue to use UiPath when you're paying three to five times more?"
"UiPath is more expensive than other automation services, but the ROI justifies the cost."
"The solution isn't very expensive."
"UiPath is relatively expensive. It's not expensive if you only need to automate one or two processes, but if you need to use more, it's somewhat costly. There's also a free community version."
