What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is stable and reliable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is not extremely scalable. It's more suitable for smaller setups. YOu can also just have a limited number of users. The more users on it, the lower quality of the connection.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We did use a solution previously. However, that was a long time ago.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is pretty simple. It's very plug-and-play. You just set up everything and connect everything to the LAN.
It took me about half an hour to deploy it. We can set up some parameters, and you are done.
You don't really need anyone to handle maintenance. It's a small setup.
What about the implementation team?
We can handle the setup ourselves. It's pretty easy if you just follow the guidance in order to set up the solution. It helps if you have a bit of knowledge.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It is not expensive. At this time, I don't have a license for it. I don't need to pay for licensing.
What other advice do I have?
I'm not sure of the exact version of the solution we're using.
I'd recommend the solution to others. The solution is reasonably priced, stable, and easy to deploy.
I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

Convenient cloud-based management, easy to set up, and quick to deploy
Pros and Cons
- "This product is easy to use."
- "The technical support could be improved."
What is our primary use case?
We use this solution to provide wireless internet coverage within the company. It is something that we also implement for our clients.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature is the cloud-based management option. It is very convenient to manage.
This product is easy to use.
What needs improvement?
The technical support could be improved.
The GUI is quite good, although there's still room for improvement in that regard.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using TP-Link Auranet EAP for approximately four years, since 2018.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
This product is quite stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scalability-wise, it is quite good.
Our company is quite small. We have between 10 and 15 people that use it.
One of our clients has a large plant, and they have several EAP access points on-premises. They have between 800 and 1,000 users. Since the access points were installed, they haven't had any issues with them.
How are customer service and support?
It is quite difficult to get support from TP-Link. They should provide more support to their clients. Sometimes, we just research the problem and solve the problems ourselves.
I would rate the technical support a two out of five.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Neutral
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is straightforward and easy to do.
We can set up a single access point in ten minutes. Depending on the person that does the implementation, it can be very fast.
What about the implementation team?
We do the implementation with our in-house team.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
TP-Link provides solutions that are more cost-effective than other well-known brands. It is a one-time cost with no licensing fees.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We are currently researching Aruba Wireless products to compare against TP-Link.
We chose TP-Link because it's very cost effective. It is cheaper than the other big brands, like Aruba or Cisco. Our clients prefer to have a cost-effective solution because some of them plan to scale, having a large quantity of access points.
For example, some companies require 20 access points, but they have a limited budget. This means that we need to modify their plan or look for a solution for them that will fit their budget.
What other advice do I have?
In summary, this is a good product and I recommend it because it's easy to use.
I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises

Currently we use it for our mobile users. It is a very cost-effective solution. The quality of the hardware needs to be improved.
What is our primary use case?
Currently we are using it for our mobile users, the users that always carry mobile devices and some laptop users but very few. TP Link is just good for them, we also use it for guest access.
What is most valuable?
As a consumer of TP Link, they don't have any boosting or unique features. All features are common features for any business solutions, its benefit is that it is cost effective.
What needs improvement?
The quality of the hardware needs to be improved.
For how long have I used the solution?
One to three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I would say the stability of this product is normal.
How was the initial setup?
It is easy to use, and easy to configure.
What was our ROI?
When choosing a a solution for our company, we focus on two things:
- Business Support
- Price
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
We have tried other products but they are too expensive, and not in our budget. The only option for us is TP Link.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
It has all the common solutions that all other solutions provide. But it is very effective, I was planning to go for Ruckus, but its cost is 60% less than Ruckus. In our region, for Ruckus I have to pay $15,000 to have 25 access points. For TP Link I just need $5,000. So, you can see the level of difference.
