We use Veritas System Recovery as a help desk server or CA (computer associate). It works well without any issues. We use the solution for regular DR testing that we have to do every year as part of IT compliance. We allocate two or three days to shift our Oracle and Exchange platforms to the DR and then do the testing. The product was very stable and didn't give us any headaches for a long time.
When we consider the backup model of other products like Veeam, their incremental backup just adds to their first full backup. With Veritas System Recovery, we have the option to run an infinite number of full backups according to our requirements. With my cloud version of Veritas System Recovery, I can have a full backup every month, which is not possible with any other vendors.
Other vendors will claim that the original copy is strong enough, but the customers have to ensure that bugs won't cause any problems in the future. However, with Veritas System Recovery, you can run a full backup this month and again run a full backup on the first or thirtieth day of the next month.
