SAP BI Platform is suitable for any Industry be it manufacturing, retail, healthcare, insurance, etc.
As far as pros are concerned it will be highly productive and seamless if you have SAP ECC or S/4HANA as your ERP system. The integration with SAP BI tools is flawless and I have not seen any other BI tool that works that well when we have SAP ECC as your ERP.

Another Pro is that this product is stable, scalable, and a true enterprise product.
Cons will be the licensing cost and the initial setup of the platform. You will need experts to set it up initially if you are thinking of an on-premise solution.
